Fem! Reader
-Monokuma is the same age as the students, he and Junko run the school together.
-The reader has been with Mondo Ohwada since before Hopes Peak (Sorry fangirls, I just chose a random guy😅) but he cheats on her with Sayaka (Again, random oop). That's all I'm gonna say cause no spoilers XP
(Y/N) (L/N) was the Ultimate High School-Level (enter something cause idk lol), and proud of herself. When she met Mondo Ohwada, her life just got better! But he started acting off just after they started Hopes Peak High. After a few weeks (pretend no one has died yet plz 🥺), (Y/N) decided to confront her boyfriend, since she was fed up of constantly being ignored.
Down the hall from where she was standing, she saw a couple making out against a wall. She didn't question this until she noticed a long coat, which looked suspiciously like her boyfriend's. A few steps closer, and she halted in her tracks. She could clearly see her boyfriend forcing himself onto one of (Y/N)'s friends, Sayaka, who was clearly uncomfortable. (Y/N) just stared and cried silent tears. After a few minutes, she gathered the courage to tap Mondo's shoulder, and punch him in the face when he turned around. After this, (Y/N) let out a large sob, and ran back to her dorm room, where she continued to sob.
Monokuma was just wandering through the halls, not really paying attention to where he was going, when he heard loud sobs near him. He felt the need to go and check it see what it was, so he did. Following the noise, he found himself in the girls side of the dorms, where one door was slightly open, and where the cries were coming from. He cautiously stepped over to the door to see the label next to the door. (Y/N) (L/N). Monokuma panicked, and rushed in to see why his best friend was crying.
"He cheated on me!" (Y/N) wailed in the arms of Monokuma, her voice slightly muffled from his shirt. After she had calmed down, and a plate of cookies and a box of tissues, (Y/N) muttered "I want him dead." Monokuma chuckled slightly. "That's not a thing to joke about, (Y/N)." "I'm not joking. I seriously want him dead." Monokuma said he needed to go quickly, and would be back soon. Little did she know, Monokuma had a special surprise for her.
Monokuma rushes up to the room where he makes the announcements to the students, turned on the the thing and said this message: "Everyone to the gym, now. I'm not in a good mood, so don't be late." Hearing this, slightly confused, (Y/N) jut made her way to the gym, pondering the reading why Monokuma was in a bad mood. He wasn't in a bad mood just a few minutes before!
After everyone was in the gym, all confused, they all discussed theories about why he was angry. (Y/N) from the corner of her eye could see Monokuma walk in with his hammer, this meant business. "(Y/N), come up here with me." Even more confused, she walked up to the stage next to Monokuma. Pulling her into a side hug, Monokuma proclaimed "Somebody here hurt my best friend, and they will pay!" (Y/N) knew what was happening, and slightly giggled. Suddenly, a red button appeared out of nowhere in front of the duo. "Care to do the honours?" Monokuma innocently asked (Y/N). "Why, of course." She replied. Monokuma gave (Y/N) the hammer, and...
"It's... PUNISHMENT TIME!!"

Time skip to a few hours later
(Y/N) was sat thinking about the execution of Mondo, and she was enjoying the despair it bought to her and everyone else. Knowing that Monokuma would here her because of the security cameras, she called out to him. "Hey, Monokuma. Come here a minute. I have a question." Within minutes there was a knock on her door and (Y/N) let the teenage boy in her room. "I want to talk to Junko."
Monokuma was shocked. At first, when he told the told the girl about the situation, Junko being the mastermind, there being a traitor, and other stuff, (Y/N) refused. Now she wanted to see the mastermind? "W-well alright! Follow me." Monokuma lead the girl to the room with monitors all over, and a teen sat in the middle. "What do you want Monokuma? I told you not to interrupt me again!" Junko screamed, turning in her chair towards the two stood at the door. "Oh, (Y/N), welcome in! Do you need anything?" Her personality changed in seconds. "I want to join you. I want to be a mastermind, just like you! You taught me, Junko! I never knew how calming despair was! I want to help you. Will you let me?" (Y/N) exclaimed, with stars in her eyes.
"Well, you would be a useful edition... Welcome to the team, (Y/N)!" Junko cheered, putting (Y/N)'s hair into a ponytail with a Monokuma head band, similar to hers.
