The World Around You
Put down your phone.
Put down the mirror.
Simply take the time,
To stop and look around you.
Things are crumbling.
Relationships falling.
You are forgetting,
All of what’s important.
You don’t need that phone.
Don’t worry, you’re gorgeous.
But what’s around you,
Surely needs your help.
Look around.
People are starving.
They have no home,
Nor any help.
Do you believe me?
Maybe you aren’t looking.
The world would be a better place if,
We could all just stop and look.
