After arriving at Boston College. I immediately go to the gym and checked the schedule for our conference in the Division 1 Tournament.
Atlantic Division Conference TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5: Louisville vs Miami Virginia Tech vs Clemson Duke vs Kansas Georgia Tech vs NC State
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6: Boston College vs Wake Forest North Carolina vs Notre Dame Pittsburgh vs Florida State Virginia vs Syracuse
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7: Clemson vs Presbyterian
"Excited for the Division 1 Tournament again Mackie?" As I saw my teammate and bestfriend Matthew Robin-Berger joins me in looking at the schedule. "Of course Matthew, lets put on a show shall we?" "Of course we will." We headed out and went to our classes.
Fun fact about me, I am an top student but I keep my cool.
"Mr. Brown, I believe these papers are yours, and yet again another A in your test on Chemistry, good job."
All I can say in my mind is "damnnnn" for how much A's I am getting.
After 2 hours of classes, We started our training for Wednesday.
We line up and we see Coach Jim Christian alongside Assistant Coach Scott Spinelli.
*prrrrtt* A sound of a whistle was blown around the court.
"Hello our Eagles! Today we will be doing our drills for our first game in this new season against Wake Forest! Everyone start running 5 laps go!"
As Coach blows the whistle once again, we started our 5 laps of running around the court.
After we ran, Coach ran shooting drills each by group.
"Group 1 for the shooting drill shall be.. Derryck Thornton, Chris Herren Jr, CJ Felder, Nik Popovic, and Luka Kraljević."
The starting lineup was called for Group 1. And soon I'll be in the starting lineup for sure.
"Group 2 will consist of.. Makai Ashton-Langford, Matt DiLuccio, Mackie Brown, Matthew Robin- Berger, and Steffon Mitchell."
"Group 3 will consist of.. Sam Holtz, Jay Heath, Will Jackowitz, Jonathan Noel, Wynston Tabbs, Jared Hamilton, and Kamari Williams."
"The rest that aren't called will be in Group 4, now you can start your shooting drills."
While the Coaching Staff try and put together great plays and hard defensive positioning.
The players have started shooting, defensive drills, fitness drills, and more.
"EAGLES HUDDLE UP!" said by Derryck Thornton, our captain in our team. "We are gonna win it all now, we are gonna defeat Duke, Syracuse, and all of the colleges in the whole Division 1!" As this statement from the captain gave the whole team motivation they got. "Eagles in 3! 1. 2. 3." "EAGLES!" Now I see that we can win it all the way to March Madness, because this team is more than ready.
