So, someone was curious to how Geralt reacted right after Jamie departed with Yennefer. This will be a whole chapter in Geralt's point-of-view right before he sees Jamie again. Meaning, this is going to be a lot of Jaskier and Geralt content.
Stirring in his sleep, Geralt woke up to the sound of a pretty panicked Jaskier. He groaned loudly due to this being the first time in a long time that he was able to nap in peace. Of course, it had to be Jaskier to interrupt his slumber and not Jamie. Jamie at least knew what he was going through and knew of the sleep he needed.
With another low groan, Geralt sat up taking in the fact that he was still in this shitty town and in the mayor's house.
"Finally you wake up!" Jaskier cried out in exasperation, practically throwing his back out with how far he threw his hands in the air. He placed his hands on his hips with a disapproving scowl, "Well, did you enjoy your nap?"
"Jaskier-" Geralt grunted as he got up from the ground, his hair unruly with each turn he made while gazing around the room, "Where is Jamie?"
"Seriously?" Jaskier dropped his jaw in offense, "That's the first thing you ask? Not anything about me?"
"Jaskier." He warned, his vocals dropping as the aggravation showed.
Jaskier shook his head and extended his arms out, "I don't know, Geralt. You tell me where she is."
Geralt squinted his eyes over to him before he stormed out of the house, Jaskier quickly trailing behind him. Jaskier continued to talk, asking if he thought Yennefer did something to Jamie. Or if Jamie disappeared out of thin air. Or the possibility that she was just in town.
He approached Roach, noticing a piece of fabric tied to the saddle. Geralt tugged it off and held it in his hand. Clenching his fist around the fabric, his jaw clenched as a feeling of pure anguish and anger took over him.
"I mean-"
"Jaskier, shut up!"
Jaskier instantly pressed his lips together at the outburst, his eyes shifted to the piece of fabric, "Is that Jamie's?"
"She's gone."
"I beg your pardon?"
Geralt threw the fabric to the ground in anger, "Jamie's fucking gone!"
Jaskier reeled back from the furious outburst, he'd already heard this kind of voice from him before and that was just the other day because Geralt couldn't get some sleep. But this seemed far more raw to Jaskier now, like the fact that Jamie was gone affecting him more than not getting rest. "I'm sure she'll be right back, I mean, come on. It's Jamie. She's always by your side."
Geralt refused to say anything. He couldn't even think clearly, he was seeing so much red that this felt entirely different and foreign to him.
"Just because she... she left you some piece of cloth doesn't mean she... she willingly left you. I mean, that crazy bitch could have taken her away."
