So, I'm trash at writing suspenseful scenes I hope you can forgive me

Nico's POV

I was standing in the shadows of the building across from the one my target was in

There was no name on the picture, that was almost better, if there was no name it didn't matter as much, the person didn't seem too real to you

I watched my target walk inside

I couldn't kill him on the street, to much of a chance that someone might see me

I waited, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, half an hour

It was 7:45 almost dark, I guaranteed no one else was in the apartment, then I shadow traveled in

I took a quick look around to get my barrings

I heard a sound coming from a room across the hall, I figured I had shadow traveled into the living room since there was a couch and TV

Carefully I manuvered around the furniture

I noticed a cat tree in the corner... Great this guy had a cat... Or cats

I slowly approached the door, I was about to open it before realizing I couldn't leave any prints

I couldn't shadow travel in since I might get disoriented and I shouldn't do it too often

I heard my target inside give a yawn, must be a bedroom, maybe once he turned off the light it would be dark enough that he wouldn't see me at first glance

I moved away from the door, my footsteps as silent as the death that was approaching this mortal

Then, I heard the flick of the lightswitch, and I saw the light coming through the crack at the bottom of the door dissapear

Shrouded in darkness I approached the door once again

I didn't know what the inside of the room looked like so it might be difficult to make an effective shadow travel that he wouldn't notice

I focused on the shadows in the room

The absence of light was as inviting as always

There was nothing but darkness then, I reappeared in the corner of the room

That part went well

What didn't was the fact that I stepped on a creaky board

In the silent house I felt I could hear the creak resound throughout the small appartment

I man's eyes snapped towards me

I took the momentary shock as an opening

Brandishing my sword I lept forwards driving it into his chest

This is my revenge, this is for Bianca, I will share my pain with others, I will not be alone in my suffering

His life force, his soul was absorbed by my deadly blade

The man took his last breath before collapsing backwards

I removed my sword the blood of the man I had just killed started to soak into the bed and the knees of my black jeans

I took a breath then shadow traveled in front of my cabin, wiping the blood from my sword on the grass then stepping inside the cabin

I almost collapsed on the floor from the strain of so much shadow travel

I managed to get to the couch before blacking out

3rd POV (Blank)

He did it

He really did it

Blank looked at the news on his TV screen

It has been confirmed that Adam Weilder is dead, it is unknown who killed him and there was no evidence of a break in

I would ask that citizens stay safe, we promise we will catch this criminal but for now, be sure to be on guard

And now for the unexpected disappearence of Harold Kois-

He really did it, the Shadow Killer killed Adam Weilder

Blank's face stretched into an unnatural smile

"Looks like Karma has been let loose" he said into the silence

Sorry this is a tad bit of a short chapter, but now we're getting into exciting stuff, enough build up, it's time for Nico to become a full fledged assassin, I hope I can get another chapter out sometime, but currently I have exams coming up

Including an Art Final Exam tommorow (seriously who gives an ART final exam) so wish me luck
