"Hey Kadari can I talk to you"Carmelo asked as he stood by the stairs
"Ofc you can, come sit"I said patting the spot next to me ona couch
He came and sat next to me looking a little nervous
"Well I don't know if it's too late to tell or if it even matters"he paused shrugging "but I feel like I should because I don't wanna go back"he said making me sit up paying more attention now
"Go back where?"I asked
"To my moms house, I hate it there, she doesn't even care about me and I hate her stupid boyfriend too"

"Every since I was younger she always neglected me, she so stuck up Leon ass she could careless about when he puts his hands on me, they leave me alone for hours with food barely ina house, all they money my dad sends she spends on her and Leon and gives me a petty $20 which I ofc save or use for food when they leave me. And the only reason she sent me down here for the school year is so she can focus on the new baby which she just had by Leon before I left, it was his idea to send me away because he wanted all her attention and focus to be on him and the baby and not me"He said as he picked at his skin making me pop him cause I hated when he did tht and he knows it "sorry"
"It's ok, if you don't wanna go back then you don't have to but if she doesn't want you why doesn't she let us have you"I said as he gave me a dumb look
"For the money duh, thought you were smarter then that"he said as I gave em a look
"Well in order for you to stay would you be willing to go to court for it? If you tell the judge all of this we can get you, it's the only way we can get full custody"I said as he smiled nodding quickly
"I'll go snitch right now if I have to"he said as I laughed
"Calm down not yet, now are you gona tell yo daddy all this or shall I?"I asked as he shrugged

"Alright but go put some stuff on I'm fina take you to get this damn dreads retwisted while the others are gone"I said as he nodded running up the stairs
Izzy took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese but Carmelo feels like he's too old for it so he stayed home with me
Once he put his stuff on I slipped on my slides and we headed out to one of Izzy's barbershop that he owned
We walked in and everybody instantly started greeting us
"Hey Dari"Izzy's uncle said to me as I went over giving him a hug
