Carmen's POV
You know how they say there's a fine line between love and hate? That depicts my relationship with Alex perfectly. My name is Carmen. Alex used to be my best friend (and college roommate). But just this Thursday, we just suddenly became a couple! It happened so fast.
2 DAYS AGO
"Carmen?"
"Yeah, Alex?" I say, flipping through a magazine.
"Can I say something?"
"About..?"
"It's pretty important." Alex suddenly takes the magazine out of my hand and turns me to face him.
My eyes grow wide as I look at him. "I love you." he says earnestly. I open my mouth to speak, but he hushes me. "I don't mean it as in you're my best friend either, I really love you, Carmen." He stops talking and looks into my eyes, anticipating my reaction.
I let out a deep breath before smiling. "I love you too."
I love him, I really do, but there's a side of him I kind of hate too. He can be so dominant sometimes. And whenever I fail to comply, he (this is the embarrassing part) spanks me. He's been doing it for a pretty long time, but it's still a really humiliating and painful experience..
