Part 6 • Headache

[3rd person POV]
After that first night in the apartment Rye and Andy seem to get along very well and they grow closer and closer.

The fact that Rye joined Andy in music class might have added to that, as the two are working on the project together.

The gang seems to have lost their interest in Andy, so his bruises and especially his hip are healing very well.

Could this finally be the start of a better period in Andy's life?

[Andy's POV]
The first thing I felt this morning was the warmth of the sun on my face. A small stripe was just peeking through the curtains.

The pleasant feeling didn't stay for long though, as it quickly got replaced by an awful headache coming up.

I groaned and slowly opened my eyes, just to see an empty bed on the other side of the room.

Rye probably had already left for his daily morning run and I didn't think I could make it to the kitchen to get a painkiller, so I decided to wait until he would come back.

I closed my eyes again, praying Rye would take the short way home.

I got woken up again by the door opening, revealing an all sweaty Rye.

Although my head hurt so badly and I just wanted to sleep forever, I couldn't keep my eyes of him.

"Good morning sleepy head! Sorry if I woke you up, but you have to go get ready for school anyways." Rye said and sat down on the edge of my bed.

I groaned once again and I couldn't produce more than a hoarse whisper. "M-my head hurts so bad. I don't... I don't think I can go to school today." I managed to get out.

"Aww poor sweetie, I'll go get you a painkiller". Rye said, while already jumping up and sprinting out of the room.

After taking the painkiller I laid down on the bed again, feeling exhausted, even by the small action. My eyes started to droop and before I knew I was fast asleep again.

[Rye's POV]
I put the duvet over Andy and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower, before leaving for school.

I decided to take my car as I already was quite late.

The first period was music and I felt rather awkward with no Andy around 'cause I didn't know anyone else in class as I only joined a couple of days ago.

The bell finally rang and I made my way to the football field to meet up with Misha, Finn, the twins and some other people in our team for a small training.

I hadn't played football in a while because of the he start up with the band and everything, so I was excited to play again.

"Yoo man" Misha said, while we did our handshake. "We should hang out some time again. I feel like I haven't seen you in ages." He continued.

"Yea everything's been kinda busy with the band and the new apartment you know but we're actually settled now." I replied, finishing the handshake.

"I even have a spare key for you guys so you can come over any time you want." I added.

"Great man! Where's Andy by the way? Haven't seen him all day." Jayden asked. I remembered how long I struggled in the beginning, telling him and his twin brother Caleb apart. I grinned at the thought of those memories.

"Is it that funny?" Charlie snapped me out of my thoughts. "What, sorry no- he's just at home, he uhh wasn't feeling too well." I replied quickly.

"Come on ladies, get your asses to work" our football coach shouted. "School tournament is in a few weeks and with a few chitchatting potato bags we ain't gonna win!"

We just played some games, tried some new tricks and afterwards catched up on some stuff.

"Hey I gotta boys. I still have to pick up Andy's guitar from the music room, but maybe we could meet up later this afternoon?" I suggested.

"Yea, cool. Meet in front of your apartment then?" Misha asked.

"Sure, see ya." I said and went to get Andy's guitar.

[Andy's POV]
I'd been sleeping all day, only waking up every now and then to drink some water or take an extra painkiller, but now I got woken up by something else.

I heard footsteps and muted whispers in the hallway. The door opened but something in me said it was better to pretend I still was asleep.

Carefully, I peeked over the duvet but then my eyes shot wide open. How the hell did he get in here?!

A/N who could it be??😏 Finally a new update again! School has been quite busy and I've been feeling not too good lately, but I think I will be able to post regularly again, at least for the next few weeks.
