"Oh no!" A sword clattered onto the floor grabbing everyone's attention. Ignatz's face flushed as he scrambled to pick up the long weapon. This made Felix heave a frustrated sigh. The three houses were given a day off from school work and were sent to the training grounds. Seteth thought it would be a good idea to have each student work on their strengths and weaknesses in combat. Needless to say, this new way to train didn't sit well with various people.

Felix mainly.

The man was impatient as it was, despite this the others acknowledged him one of the best swordsmen of their group so they had him help those who lacked that skill. Ignatz and Ashe were both amazing archers but bad at swordplay. It was their turn to train with the intimidating Felix and so far it wasn't really playing out as they had hoped. "I told you to parry my strike! Why do you hesitate?" The black-haired man said in irritation. This made the shorter boy flinch, "A-ah um forgive me, I'm sorry it just that you are too quick." Felix shook his head lowering his sword, "If you cannot stop me then you can forget about training." He started to move away from Ignatz causing him to quickly reach for him.

"Alright, everyone! It's time to stop for the day." Byleth announced as the teens began to leave. Ignatz sighed before lifting the blade to his side. He looked at the silver metal in disappointment. But before he could put it away, the sound of skipping made its way abruptly to his side. "Hi, Ignatz!" The boy jumped at the sound of his name. There stood the bright and smiling face of (Yn) (Last Name). One of the few commoners who were able to attend the Monastery. She really came out of nowhere with a kind and enthusiastic attitude. She tilted her head toward the green-haired boy. "Why the long face? Was Felix being an ass again?" She giggled making his face blush at her unique use of vocabulary. (Yn) had a fair face, very youthful and in Ignatz opinion, charming. So you could imagine it was odd to hear such vulgar words coming from her.

Ignatz shook his head clearing his throat, "A-ah no! He- well-" he fumbled with his words while she let out another laugh. "It's alright! But if you still need guidance with sword practice, I'd be glad to help." Ignatz gasped facing the small ray of sunshine. He brought a hand to rub the heat from the back of his neck. "Well if you'd be alright with that, I would be happy to learn from you." (Yn) gave a victorious cheer picking up her own sword. "Alright! Show me what you've got!"

"Whew, that's pretty good. You're getting much better!" (Yn) praised making the young man flush for the umpteenth time today. Without making eye contact Ignatz let out a small smile, "N-no, thank you! I'm sorry for causing such a fuss." He sighed

The two started to make their way out of the training grounds. Once they passed the doors (Yn) hopped next to the taller boy gently ruffling his green hair. Giving a bright closed eye smile she laughed, "Don't be so silly Ignatz! It was fun!" Before he had a chance to react she had already started skipping ahead. "I'll see ya later!!" She left the dumbfounded boy in the dust as she disappeared from view. Ignatz brought his hand up to touch the spot where (Yn) had ruffled. In doing so he sighed dreamily staring at the direction she had left, his face completely aflame. Just then the bells rang breaking him out of his trance suddenly remembering he had to head to his next class.

"And so Wyverns are excellent defenders of the skies, not just for their strength but also for their speed.." Byleth's voice filled the room as the Golden Deer kids listened quietly, well, some actually paid attention. The classroom was set up with three rows of long tables, very much different from their regular class; however, the professor wanted a change of scenery for a little while so the group could be a little closer together. Claude sat on the left side of the first table next to Lorenz half-listening, Lysithia was seated next to Leonie behind them taking notes, across from the back row sat a listening Cyril and a sleeping Hilda. The quiet Marianne who was twiddling her thumbs also sat in front with (Yn) on the right, the (hc) haired girl eagerly rocking her chair practically radiating energy. Ignatz sat in the middle of the second table next to Raphael. He too was taking notes but found his eyes constantly (but also sneakily) glancing up to (Yn) in front of him. Ever since their first practice, they have been meeting each other to continue his training.
