Latest Chapter : She knew that she couldn't change my mind and waved me goodbye before walking back to the cafe.

Ever since my first day at this new school, I could say that my latest three weeks here was pretty eventful. Not having Noctis in every class, I was able to make other friends but every day, I had groups of people surrounding me as if I was the prince himself. Most of them wanted to know private things about Noctis or simply his likes and dislikes. I didn't tell them a thing for the sake of his privacy. I was also way too scared to know what would happen of me if I spilled some of the things I know about him. It's not like I knew a lot either, but I guess I was with him long enough to learn some of his habits. I've also taken the time to learn more about him and hanging out around the school with him and only him. Last time, we were granted the permission to go eat on the rooftop because there was way too much fangirls in our class that day. That's when I learned that Noctis really likes listening to rock. On my first day, I also learned that he doesn't like vegetables as much as he did when he was a kid, which was almost none. His eyes also got a lot more beautiful and brighter. I could see that he slowly felt more free and happy these days. He also looks very peaceful and vulnerable when he sleeps.

The bell rang all over the school, announcing that class was about to start in a few minutes and telling the students to take back their seats or wake up from their naps. My eyes wandered on a certain prince that was calmly sleeping by my side. His head softly resting on his arms as he faced me with his closed eyes. I've never realized how long his eyelashes were. I've also noticed how easily the prince seems to fall asleep no matter what was happening. I bet he fell asleep during his oral presentation once. Ironic, knowing that the city was called Insomnia. Hearing the teacher walking back to the classroom, I wondered if I should wake him up. He should be up for the next lesson. Not really knowing how to wake him up as he usually just woke up on his own, I simply flicked the side of his head. I don't know what came over me, but it was too late to take it back. "W-Wake up Noct. You're going to miss the lesson." was the only sentence I could manage to say. I then became very aware of my fate as the classroom fell silent as they just stared at me in pure fear. Yup, I was going to die. The prince's groan didn't escape my ears with how scared I suddenly became. It was only a matter of time before I die. Please make it quick for my own sake. I turned around to see the prince half awake which was pretty cute to be honest. His head fell on his side a few times as he wiped open his eyes, letting out a long yawn at the same time. He seemed more tired than irritated. Well, that's what I thought before I realized that the students around me started backing away. Still half asleep, Noct asked. "Who had the guts to flick me awake?"

As a moment of pure betrayal, everyone in the class, except the teacher, pointed towards me as I looked away, humming the chocobo song as if I was innocent. I knew it wouldn't work, but I had to try right? He ended up glaring at me anyways. "Why did you think that flicking me was a good idea?" I don't know if it was my imagination, but he suddenly seemed less mad and more, annoyed I'd say. Maybe there was a hint of tease in that tone too.

"I don't know? I just panicked and-" I tried to answer as truthfully as I could, but before I could finish my sentence, the prince decided it was a good idea to tickle me as a revenge, especially before class began. What a horrible person he is, especially being extremely ticklish himself. When I said that I spent all last week learning about him, I guess I could say the same thing for him. Now I regret letting him close to me. Anyways, the teacher made him stop soon after as she had something important to announce to the class. Noctis, knowing his limits, finally backed off, although his mind quickly wandered away as soon as the teacher said a single word. At least he was too out of it to hear her slip a small sigh. I wonder if I made her job harder. The least I could do was to listen and tell him the information after class.

After Class
"I can't believe that you didn't listen to a thing Ms. Fayth said. It was kinda important you know?" I shoved Noctis softly on the side as he yawned. Of course he was still tired. Shoving him one more time, he started giggling and explaining how boring her classes are. I couldn't disagree to that. "Wouldn't it hurt to listen a few times? I worry about the fate of the kingdom now." He knew I didn't mean ill and planted a grin on his face. What was he going to say now?

"I don't need to listen now that I have a right hand man." So I suddenly became his slave. I bet he could hear my eye roll as I rushed ahead, walking pass the school gate. His limousine was already waiting, parked on the side. Even after staying by his side for three weeks, seeing the car still felt intimidating with its black tainted windows. "So, I'll see you Monday?" It was a rhetorical question as we already knew the answer to that, but I still asked. Catching up to me, he turned around to face me and crossed his arms. Was something wrong? "Why can't you come over to my place instead? We can play video games. I bought a new one yesterday." That was at least the fifth time he asked me to come over, to the citadel of all places. Not only my heart wouldn't be able to take it, but I had my part time job... again. I tried to make him remember my schedule, but I guess it goes through the other ear every time that I repeat it. I sighed and told him I couldn't for the fifth time in a row.

"Then how about I tag along this time? And don't use that same excuse you keep bringing up. Cor has been craving for a small break these days." He kept his arms crossed as if he was mad. I don't know why he keeps being so persistent into accompanying me, but whatever he tries to do won't ever work on me.

A few minutes later
I hate him. I don't know what the hell happened, but the next thing I knew, I'm sitting on the back of a goddamn limousine. Oh and shall I precise that the PRINCE was sitting next to me and way too close for comfort. He was ALSO driving me to my working place. My brain was slowly having a stroke as it processed what just happened. To make it even worse, all the luxury surrounding me felt too overwhelming. That whole car even smelled brand new. I guess that Noct saw how uncomfortable I felt for him to start off a conversation as soon as we parted. I thank him for that, but I was still mad. I mean, he basically kidnapped me. Well, not really, but-

"Prom?" His voice brought me back from my never-ending train of thoughts. Oh right, I left him hanging. Knowing he asked about the teacher's important information, I decided to give him all the details. Apparently, there was a cultural festival coming up in two months, before winter comes to bring in the cold wind and as usual, our class had to come up with an event and prepare everything before the big day. The teacher asked for us to think of an idea before starting her class since we were going to vote in a few days. Not very surprised about the news, he simply yawned and asked me if that was all. I guess I did make a big deal about it. I was about to nod as the car came to a stop. Oh god, we were already there. What was Iris going to say when she'll see him? It was already bad enough that I'm coming to work in a limo. Wait, even worse, what will the manager say about this? She doesn't even know that Iris is part of the royalty in some way. My head was turning into a hot mess. What was going to happen???

I'm so sorry for being ultra laaaaaate. I like, forgot about that fanfic for a month and when I remembered, I started planning the rest because I had no idea how exactly I was going to write. Here it is though, I hope I didn't bring your hopes down.
