Chapter 6

Steven felt sick, He's been like that for an hour. His stomach is in so much pain...

He's too hungry...

He doesn't want to eat, but the other part of his body wants to. So he got out of his small hole and started to find some food.

The Woods were beautiful as ever, the animals are happily playing and running around while he was walking through.

He looked around and closed his eyes "It's so peaceful..." He whispered to himself.

While he was looking around, he saw a squirrel stuck in bush full of rose thorns on its body. The squirrel is whimpering and squirming trying to get out of said bush.

The squirrel looks at him with wet, pleading eyes, he looks for a second and sighed, he grabbed the squirrel with his own arms while the 2 corrupted arms are grabbing the bush, Then he starts to pull the squirrel out with all his might.

Him rescuing the squirrel felt like it took hours, but in reality, it's been 5 minutes.

He let the squirrel down gently,
The squirrel wagged its fluffy tail and climbed up on him. It's face was rubbing on his cheek, wanting to say thanks.

The squirrel then jumped down and looked at him, he smiled then he noticed that the squirrel wanted him to follow after it. So he followed.

While they were walking along, he saw some shadows walking at the distance but when he shook his head—

The shadows were gone.

The squirrel reminded him of himself, and the rose thorns are his mom.

'Weird...' He thought.

The squirrel had lead him through its home where there's lots of fruits and nuts around the big log.

Then the squirrel entered its home and took something out.

In steven through... He's curious about what had happened, so he sat down and leaned against the log, He sighs and thought about what happened earlier today.

He shivered from the creepy sensation,The squirrel came back with lots of fruit as a gift for saving its life, since he can't understand what it's saying he just nods and smiled while saying thank you.

So he grabbed the fruits and put it on his jacket while he ate some of it.

Walking back, he noticed that the shadows are here again, but this time, they're a bit too close to him.

He quickly hid at the side of a tree while sneakily went with his 4 arms down, he kinda looked like a centipede, the shadows are talking or more like they are looking for something, since their eyes are glowing white, he could easily see them.

'Two gems wondering around the forest? Are they lost?' He thought. He couldn't see their faces, its just that their glowing eyes are so bright.

The small shadow with a smug face said "I can't wait to fight in war! So many things will happen and my dream to get him shattered will finally come true!" The small shadow twirls while flying, while the tall shadow smiles evily.

"Yep! I can't wait! This is gonna be so much fun!" Exclaimed joyfully by the taller shadow looking at the smaller one.

-Back in Steven's perspective-

'War?!'

'shattered?!'

'Him?!'

He was sweating bullets, his pulse is beating faster like he had ran (a 40 km marathon) for long time.

'Are they talking about me?! Since I'm the only one male gem, It has to be me... ' He thought, he sigh and look down at the ground thinking what they said,He look back at the two shadows, but the shadows are gone and the woods are now again peaceful.

He got up from his hiding place and continue his journey through his own hole....

Steven heard a small giggle.

"Found you."
