He sat in the corner of the darkened cell, making himself as small as possible and sobbing into the silence. The only light available in this prison was a small, stone window that barely saw daylight, time didn't exist in this place. He was stripped of all his items including the shinies he had been collecting for the past few years. The two soldiers outside his cell were told he was a maximum-security prisoner, here for treason against a noble family. The accusation of attempted murder on a noble servant. He didn't know that girl was associated with a noble, with her fancy ring and pockets of gold, just another visitor to the circus. He remembered the Paladin who had found him and took him in, the high elf with his dark eyes and hateful expression, just the thought of him made Jabba feel sick to his stomach.
There was a clunk outside the cell, a door being pushed open and footsteps on the cobble stairs. He could hear voices squabbling, obviously, someone wasn't happy. The footsteps and voices stopped for a moment, only to be replaced by the two guards at his cell door saluting to the visitors.
"You shouldn't do this" a male voice grumbled, he had a low voice yet it sounded like silk to the young Changelings ears.
There was a tut and a lot of pacing from what the prisoner could make out, this must be the second person who was on the stairs earlier. Due to the slight tapping on the cobblestone, Jabba hazard a guess that this was a female "I need to know, as soon as I find out I will leave, if I don't do this, Corrin, then I'll forever be wondering" the male made a disapproving sound "I will be fine, stop worrying" her small heels seemed to get closer, Jabba judged this by the echo in his prison cell.
The footsteps stopped just inches from his cell door.
"Oi, creature."
The female hushed him "Don't be rude, my Love"
He scoffed "With what he did to you I will be as rude as I like" her heels moved away from the cage and back towards the steps where the man probably stood, waiting.
"There's got to be a reason why he did this" Jabba raised his head, his eyes locked on the couple outside his cell. The high elf leant against the wall at the bottom of the stairs, his long hair falling halfway down his torso, his eyes were dark, full of what could only be described as hatred. The woman, on the other hand, next to him she stood like an angel, long wavy blond hair, lengthy flowing emerald green dress, she had a small structure compared to that of the man. Obviously, there was something going on between these two elves.
The young changeling cautiously approached the iron door, trying to get a better look at his strange visitors. The male, Corrin, narrowed his eyes and stepped around his woman in a protective stance, rapier drawn and pointing at him. This move had given Jabba a better view of this elven knight "It is you" he croaked "You're the one that got me to put in here!" He pressed his body against the bars, a grin spread across his face "This is all your fault, and the ringmaster will come looking for me"
Corrin stood at 6"2 with long blond hair that fell halfway down his back, he wore waist-high black trousers and a long-sleeved, white blouse, his top two buttons where undone to show his refined muscle on his chest. He wore knee-high boots which were encrusted with a dragon wrapped around a shield, Jabba concluded this must be the Lockheart family crest, one he would never forget.
Corrin laughed "Come looking for you? Your ringmaster fled as soon as Cora's knights infiltrated your circus, the spies were found and hung yesterday, as for all the drugs and resources for the war against the elves" he approached Jabba's new home and knelt down to look him in the eyes. He lowered his voice "I personally burnt them all to the ground, including your tent and everything in it" an evil glint sparked in his deep eyes. The noble spat on the ground in front of the cell before standing up tall "You do not mess with a possession of the Lockheart family and get away with it, child"
