For a way too long time, I really stayed there and waited for you to eventually come around. Because I thought, whatever it was that made you leave like that,
we
could figure it out
together.

But that's when I
realized that if you had
ever felt the same I had,
you would have known that by
yourself.

So you never felt what I felt.
And it hit my fragile little sailboat
like a thunderstorm.

But in the end,
realizing that made me
stop thinking you'd come back,
and that made me, finally, stop having feelings for you.
