Serenity

I was doused in lies
in your serenity
crushing me like a wave made of silk
and satin gowns adorned with frills
dance into the sky
like the bird's wings in flight
for as the world kept turning
I felt your cold fingers
seeking my sanity
and my memories
are broken like the song
rain pounds against glass
like your fists
of lies and hatred
burning in the flames
of the white lit fire
and I drown again
in your serenity
