Chapter 9:

Alex's POV:

----- A Few Days Later ----

I descend the stairs into the parking lot and notice Bella by her truck alone so knowing I have time to kill I slowly jog over towards her.

" how are you doing bells?" I question genuinely not knowing because every-time me or anyone in my family come towards her Edward drags her away quickly.

" I'm good actually, my friends and me are going to la push beach after school and I was wondering and hoping you and your family would come along." she slightly questions nervously fiddling with her hands.

"Sure we'll be there we've been meaning to go to la push lately anyways." I reassure her

We continued to talk for a short while, when I noticed my family and the Cullens minus Edward stroll out of the school doors. My family came over to us and we were discussing Bella coming over for family movie night when Edward came out of the school walking towards his car but saw us with Bella around us and made a beeline for us him instantly tensing once he saw her with us.

"well bells we better go we'll see you later." I tell her while hugging her, everyone says bye to her before Edward got over to us.

"see you guys tomorrow." she hollers towards us as we're walking away we pass Edward so I glare at him getting enjoyment out of him slightly cowarding away from me once he notices my glare, I wonder what his problem is with us we haven't given him a reason for him to not want us around Bella.

Saturday morning rolls around we all get up and start getting ready for our day at the beach. I've just finished getting ready when I hear my door open so I glance towards the person already knowing who it is before seeing her due to her scent. She's leaning against my door frame looking at me in confusion.

" why are you getting ready, where you going?" she questions

"We're going to the beach today with Bella and her friends from school." I inform her knowing about the treaty the Cullens have with the wolves in la push, a look of confusion crosses her face shortly then gets replaced with a nervous and scared look.

"you all are going to the la push beach you guys can't the wolf pack over there will kill vampires, they won't hesitate to kill you all." she starts panicking

"we will be fine I promise the la push pack wont hurt us." I slowly reassure her being careful with my word choice due to our relation to the pack that the Cullens don't know about yet.

"okay but, you better call me as soon as you step foot through the doors so I know you all are alright." she demands slightly while walking towards me.

" I will, we'll be fine" I tell her with a bit more authority in my voice until I relies she's not part wolf, while I wrap my left arm around her waist and grab her face to lightly kiss her. Pulling away slowly before it gets to heated, I grab her hand and lead her down the stairs everyone else following us out of the front door.
