Marahan kong iminulat ang mga mata ko. Isang napaka weirdong pakiramdam ang nadarama ko ngayon. Napaka aliwalas ng lahat.

“Kamusta ka na?” Napagawi ang tingin ko sa lalaking nagsalita. Bahagya pang napakunot ang noo ko ng mapagtanto kung sino siya at kung nasaan ako.

“Anong ginagawa ko dito? Bakit nandito ka din sa kwarto ko? Nasaan ang kuya ko?” Sunod sunod na tanong ko sa kanya. Lalo pang kumunot ang noo ko ng bigla siyang tumawa.

“Easy there, young lady. Isa isang tanong lang mahina ang kalaban.” Natatawa niyang sagot sa akin. Pero agad ding napawi ang tawa niyang iyon. Bahagyang napakunot ang noo ko. I actually find it weird. Seeing him first as I open my eyes is actually really weird.

“Just so you know, we just save your ass little lady. I clearly ask you to forget about your brother but you really didn’t gave a damn about what I said so you were kidnapped by your brother’s blood-brother but we save you in time … well, not really. Oh yeah, this is not reality in case you didn’t know. I mean, you were just dreaming now. Your body is in the hospital and being treated as of the moment. I just take this opportunity to warn you.”

I was confused. Yeah I know I was kidnapped, pero blood-brother? I was just dreaming? And warn me about what?

I was about to ask him when suddenly there’s light. It seems like a warp. And then I heard a noise. It was just a murmur at first then little by little it became clear. I heard my brother’s voice. He seems like talking to someone but I didn’t hear any response.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Hindi ka naprotektahan ni kuya. Just when I thought I was protecting you by pushing you away, I was wrong. Kuya was wrong. Please forgive me.” I heard him. He was crying. He was pleading to me, to fogive him. It breaks my heart. Hearing him cries makes my heart broke into pieces. I understand his reasons now. I want to open my eyes and hug him but I can’t. I just can’t move. I feel hopeless as strength slowly leaves my body.

“Demi? Demi? Oh God! Doc! Doc yung kapatid ko! Tulong!” I heard him screeming and panicing. Alam kong sinabi ko dati na handa na akong mamatay pero bakit parang natatakot pa din ako? Natatakot akong iwanan ang kuya ko.

“I won’t let you die. Trust me. Just feel the beat of your dying heart ‘coz you’ll never feel that beat again.” Just when I was about to loose consciousness, I heard him. I heard Miro’s voice.

And then everything went silent.  I can feel my life being taken away. I can feel the coldness as my heart begun to beat slower and slower until it's gone. I started to panic but it’s too late. I already breathe my last breath.
