Harry had spent half of his promised hiatus at his farmhouse. He couldn't believe how fast the days went by. He had written almost six songs so far. He had poured out his lovestruck heart after the first time he and Louis had sex in a song he named Adore you.

He had fallen in love with the boy next door but he didn't know how to tell him. It didn't help that Louis had become more distant. They still saw each other every day and they had a lot of amazing sex but Louis seemed to have something on his mind and it scared Harry. The only time he was fully present and his old self was when they had sex. Harry craved those moments. They hadn't reversed the roles, Louis was always topping but Harry didn't mind. He loved to be taken care of.

Louis had suggested that they would have another picnic by the lake that afternoon and Harry was packing a basket with food. He put down a bottle of wine as well. He needed some liquid courage if he would talk to Louis about his feelings and Louis's recent behavior. It was scary as hell but he needed to do this. He had never felt like this for anyone before.

Louis showed up at six. He smiled at Harry but he didn't throw himself in his arms as he used to before. Harry felt a sting in his heart. What was wrong? Didn't Louis feel the same way and was trying to find a way to let him down easily?

They walked down to the lake and Louis was telling him some story about his best mate Stan. Harry couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed Louis's arm.
"Lou, what's wrong? You've been acting really weird lately."

Louis gave him a pensive glance.
"I know. Let's sit down and talk."

Harry swallowed down a lump in his throat. That sounded bad. They laid the blanket on the ground and sat down. Harry waited for Louis to begin but Louis just sighed and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Please, Lou. Talk to me." Harry said softly.

Louis looked at him tensely, then he took a deep breath and began to explain.
"It's just... You're absolutely amazing Harry. I never met someone like you before." Louis started but got quiet and turned his gaze to the lake instead.

Harry furrowed his eyebrows.
"Okay? So are you."

That made Louis smile and he looked back at Harry. He hesitated before he continued.
"I'm in love with you." His voice was very soft.

Harry's heart beat fast. He smiled shyly.
"Yeah? I'm in love with you too."

Louis looked really emotional.
"I'm scared, Harry."

"About?" Harry asked softly.

Louis sighed again.
"We're cut off from the real world out here. In the real world, you are super famous and closeted. How will that work out? In one and a half months we're both going back to our normal lives and they look so different. Will I even be able to see you?"

Harry's eyes teared up and he began to cry softly. Louis immediately pulled him in for a hug.
"Hey, don't cry baby. I'm sorry."

"I don't know Lou but I would try my hardest to make it work. I won't be closeted forever. One more year and I'm free. We can make it work. Please, I need you, Lou. I'm so in love with you." Harry stuttered out between sobs.

"I need you to baby. I'm willing to give it a try." Louis answered emotionally while he tried to wipe away the tears that fell down Harry's cheeks.

Harry gave him a hopeful smile.
"You are?"

"Of course I am. You mean the world to me. I'm just scared that it won't work out." Louis answered with glossy eyes.

"We'll just have to make sure that it does." Harry replied and Louis nodded his head and connected their lips.

Louis was back to his old self. They ate and talked and laughed. They went inside when it started to get chilly. Harry went to the kitchen while Louis sat down in the living room. Harry joined him and handed him a paper.
"I want to show you something." he said softly and bit down on his lower lip.

Louis started to read the lyrics to a song.

Walk in your rainbow paradise (paradise)
Strawberry lipstick state of mind (state of mind)
I get so lost inside your eyes
Would you believe it?

You don't have to say you love me
You don't have to say nothing
You don't have to say you're mine

Honey
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Oh, honey
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do

Your wonder under summer skies (summer skies)
Brown skin and lemon over ice
Would you believe it?

You don't have to say you love me
I just wanna tell you something
Lately you've been on my mind

Honey
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Oh, honey
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do

I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Oh, honey
I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do

I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you
Oh, honey
Oh, honey

I'd walk through fire for you
Just let me adore you

Oh, honey
Just let me adore you
Like it's the only thing I'll ever do

He looked up with teary eyes when he had finished reading. Harry was holding his breath while he was waiting for a reaction.
"It's amazing Harry. God, I can't believe you wrote this, about me?"

"Of course it's about you." Harry answered with a small smile on his lips.

Louis put the paper on the coffee table and threw himself at Harry. He kissed every part of his face and Harry started to giggle. They spent the rest of the evening making out until Harry carried Louis to the bed and asked if they could reverse the roles this time. Louis immediately agreed and Harry got to see Louis absolutely wrecked for once. They fell asleep at last.
