About a week later**
The night of the DGD where bill was the guest of honor and you where there for "moral support" for both Sookie and Bill.
You could not wait to see Adele again, she was a good and kind soul. Her smile made you feel ok in the world.

You sped to the back where Bill was in the kitchen and sat down to say hello
Then he shushed you and told you to listen
Adele was defending you and Bill by saying that she was more afraid of what they might do to us and that we where both kind and well mannered

"I like her" you whispered to Bill
He smiled in agreement

Then you heard Sookie enter.....with someone named Sam Merlotte?!
You bursted out laughing when Bill's jaw and fist clenched
"Awe Bill you look like the saddest puppy I have ever seen,.....look tell your story and then apologize or something.....but dont hurt her and dont be pouty about it" you said with sincerity
"Since when did you start caring about my "love" life....or hers for that matter" Bill said with a raised eyebrow
"That doesn't matter, what matters is what makes her happy, I like her and I need more human friends, shes to good for our world....please don't ruin her by showing that you dont care....because I know you do"
"I do, I really do"
"Then show her.....look I dont give a dam about what you do in your spare time but if I find out you wimped out on her, I'll slap you ...and I slap HARD"
you said ending with a smile
You both laughed and then went back to silence
Then Adele introduced Bill
Then introduced you as a friend to the veteran Vamp
As you stood off to the side you watched bill greet the crowd and then proceeded to take the American flag off the cross and hoist it up its pole
You smiled in respect at this.

As Bill spoke about that time he gave mini glances at Sookie
And each one had an effect on her
This led you to smile wider

As Bill went on you heard the officers suggest Bill was behind the murders (even though the bodies where not drained) and as Bill continued with a story about a war hero an elderly mann the mayor, had stood up to give Bill a photograph of his family, this finding led Bill to tears.
