Just as always I'm sitting in the window looking out at the awful land below when the door to my room opens. It startles me a bit since V already came by several hours ago with my dinner, but when I see Satan's face it all makes sense to me. He's back for more again. He did say yesterday that he'd return, but when he didn't show up all day I figured he was busy. Apparently not.
I jump down from the window with a sigh and start heading towards the bed while unbuttoning my shirt. Satan walks towards me with hurried steps and I look at him in confusion when he grabs my arm to stop me from undressing.
"I'm not here for that," he says.
"Then what the hell do you want?"
"I need you to come with me."
If possible I just look even more confused.
"You mean you want me to go outside?" I question.
"Not really outside. I just want you to join me to the balcony. If you don't want to you could of course stay in here-"
"I'll go."
He smiles at my answer and helps me close my shirt again before taking my hand and leading me out of my prison. Even in the hallway the air already feels fresher and when we step out on the large balcony I take my chance to take a deep breath. I remember Satan telling me that this was his favorite place in the castle. Why he would want to bring me here is beyond me. Perhaps he wants to throw me over the edge to see if my wing has healed or not. Anything is a possibility with this guy.
Instead of standing by the fence he sits down on the floor and taps the spot next to him. I follow him while unable to contain my confused face and he snorts when I sit down by his side.
"Just go back if you don't want to be here then," he says.
"I never said I didn't want to be here. I'm confused as to why you'd want me here in the middle of the night. Didn't you say this was your place for some peace and quiet?"
"I did say that. I'm flattered you remember. You're a better listener than I thought."
"Well, I have to be or else I'll never be able to figure out your weakness."
"As if you'd be able to kill me even if you knew. Now shut up before I send you back inside."
He casually lies down and makes himself comfortable while I look at him like he's crazy. When I don't join him right away, he pulls my arm and drags me down by force. I hit my head against the stone flooring and of course he laughs at me. Evil bastard. I use my hands as a make-do pillow and stare up at the sky.
The sky down here is extremely dull. Just black, not a single cloud or star in sight. It makes me miss home even more. I want to see the real sky.
"You told me yesterday that the night sky in Heaven was the thing you missed the most," Satan suddenly says, as if he could read my mind. "Describe it to me in more detail. I've never seen the stars or moon, so I don't know what they look like."
I want to ask why he's so curious about Heaven, but in all honesty I don't really care. I like talking about my home and if he wants to know then why not give him what he wants?
"To start off with, the sky isn't completely black, it's more of a dark blue color. Depending on the day it's sometimes possible to see entire galaxies and then the sky can be more than just blue. It could be green or even pink or purple. On top of that there are stars. They vary in size and brightness and in Heaven there are so many of them that they're impossible to count even if you spent your whole life doing it. The stars can be many colors as well, but mostly they just look like white little dots scattered around. Then we have the moon. It's like a big round disc in the sky and it shines with reflected light from the sun. Again, depending on the day it can be either round or more of a crescent shape. I prefer when it's a full moon."
