SM ENTERTAINMENT TO ADD UNEXPECTED TRAINEE TO NCT Dec 26, 2016 by choxrry
After the release of "Firetruck" NCT127 has been quiet until now. On December 26 at noon KST, SM confirmed that they are working on a comeback for the unit and would add three new members.
The new additions are Doyoung who had debuted in the unit NCT U earlier in the year, popular trainee Johnny who comes from SM Rookies, and former Pledis trainee Sunny Van Every. Unlike the other and new members of the group, Sunny is a girl. Although no information has been found on her besides her being Chinese-Dutch, coming from L.A, and her gymnast and traditional Chinese dancer background, she is known for other things.
Sunny has been in music videos for Pledis Entertainment artists and commercials dating back to 2011. Then, her pictures became popular on Tumblr and Pinterest around 2014 - 2015.

In 2015, she performed with UNIQ for their song "Luv Again."

But she is mostly known for her iconic audition for Produce 101 that went viral, with a vocal and dance cover of Zendaya's "Replay."

She was a very popular trainee throughout the show and almost made it into I.O.I's lineup with a total of 136,770 votes which ranked her twelfth overall.

She had seemingly disappeared after the show ended and was even rumored to have returned to L.A. Turns out she had just signed to SM Entertainment and had been quietly preparing for her debut after seven years of training.
SM Entertainment is to have her long awaited debut under the stage name Sun through NCT127 with the units first comeback, "Limitless." Their second mini album under the same name "LIMITLESS" will be released on January 9.
The news has been met with mixed reactions, half happy that she's finally debuting and half discontent with her being in a boy group.
While Sunny has been confirmed to be in NCT 127 there is also a possibility she could later join NCT U.
