It is Wednesday morning and Bakugou wakes, shivering and stomach growling painfully, having barely eaten anything in three days, to loud thundering footsteps and a crash. He startles, looking toward the sound to realize that his mother had thrown his bedroom door open.

Mitsuki, a pleased look on her face, says, "Here, brat, Masaru and I will be gone for a few days so you get to eat more this morning." She sets a slightly larger than normal bowl of rice, two bottles of water rather than one, and a fried egg on the floor. She walks over and takes off Bakugou's muzzle as he glares at the food, ignoring his stomach as it grows again.

He escapes today.

As the muzzle is removed from his face, Bakugou ignores the disgusting feeling of the saliva all around his jaw and moves to eat his food quickly. Scarfing it down, he finishes. Mitsuki hums as she replaces his muzzle on his face again as he sits on the floor. "You are so fucking lucky I'm a kind mother, you bitch," she claims with a smile. "If you weren't so difficult I wouldn't do this, you know?"

Standing up, Mitsuki peers down at her son, chin up, and kicks him in the gut. Bakugou coughs around the gag in his mouth and wheezes for breathe, restricted by the muzzle, doing his hardest to keep the food he finally received in his stomach. "I'll just give you a parting gift before I leave, though!" Mitsuki says cheerfully as she kicks the boy again.

Bakugou struggles into a defensive, curled up position as he is kicked again and again. Finally, Mitsuki takes her high-heeled foot and stabs the heel of her shoe into Bakugou's shoulder. A gut-wrenching scream is released from the shaking boy as he tries to get away from the pain, but Mitsuki presses down harder as blood begins to gush up out of the wound. "Oh, so now you can't even fucking take this, huh? I can't believe villains wanted to take you! Even if you are basically one already, you are so fucking weak," she presses harder into the wound again, eliciting another scream. She pauses for a moment, pulling her foot away from the shaking child, and hums. She steps away and walks out the door, not closing it.

Anxiety grows in Bakugou's chest as he wonders what she could be doing. It never bodes well for him when she brings something new into her beatings. Never.

As if the universe has a grudge against Bakugou, Mitsuki steps back inside a moment later, a medium sized glass vase with only a single rose inside it in her hand. The woman smiles at the beautiful flower. "Oh Katsuki, if only you were as quiet as a flower, I would have loved you." She sighs sadly. "Your father still seems to believe I do anyway. What a blissfully clueless man. That is what I love so much about him, though. If only you could be like that."

Tears stream down Bakugou's face, expression screwed up in such terror it is as if he has been given a death sentence. No. Worse. More like he is an antelope with its neck being held down by a vicious lioness. He thrashes on the floor as his mother approaches, still gazing at the flower. She lifts it carefully with one hand, the glass vase still in the other. Mitsuki sighs again. "I guess I just have to remind you of how much of a villain you really are in a more... permanent fashion." She looks into Bakugou's eyes and smiles softly.

Bakugou screams bloody murder, trying to scramble away as his mother sets the flower on his bed and lifts the vase over her head as she stands above him. Closing his eyes, Bakugou prepares for the pain to come, closing out the world, not paying attention to any sound, feeling, or scent as his eyes are screwed closed.

But it never comes.

Bakugou squints one tear filled eye open as he hears shrieks and yelling. He hears many voices, not just his mother's, confusing him. As his one opened eye moves upwards, he notices that his mother's vase-bearing hand is frozen midair, a piece of cloth now wrapped around the arm.
