First day I pray

(Round 6:25 am in the new house of White Hill reservation )

"Lawsooon wake up child I said be up bright and early so I can see you off to school now hurry up I got stuff I need to attend to ." I yelled from down stairs trying to get everyone up my husband still tired from the yesterdays  journey so I let him lay for a few I figured I'd get the house more homie while he's at slumber and get the food ready for later
"Lawson you have exactly 1 second to get your butt down here we have to go ."
Not long after that I saw my beautiful daughter slowly making her way down the stairs still looking sleepy but the one thing that caught my attention is the ungodly clothes she thought it would be okay to put on
" My god Law have you lost you're sense child what on gods name are you wearing!!? where are your navy blue dress wear I set out for you hmmm..? She didn't speak filling me with slight annoyance "child answer me now"
" ma I hate dresses why can't I just wear these (Lawson wearing all black knickers and and a white dress shirt and black dress shoes )
"Child you look like you should be helping ya father with firewood I will not have my daughters first day of school dressed like that now go change you can wear that mess when you're out of school Lawson now hurry up and go change now..!" I sculled at her not meaning to I was just in a hurry her facial expression showing how Ill she felt of my words but still went back to go change
(3 mins later )
She came back downstairs looking more like a beautiful girl now
" awwww look at you ahhh you're sooo beautiful ." I said caressing her cheek even if she was still mad at me
"Alright now let's get to it leading us outside the new school only being a 8 minute walk from the house so I decided to walk Lawson Halfway before departing.
"Now Lawson I know this is all new to you but try to make new friends hell your might be surprised at who you meet and remember be respectful hold your tongue and follow directions and be kind please okay okay ."
"Okay ma I hear ya" she finally spoke before I kissed her head leaving
" I love you Law" kissing her one last time
"You too ma"
"You too what..?
"Hahaha really ma I love you too."
"That's my girl okay bye love I'll see you round noon okay I put extra food in ya box baby now go on ." I watched as she walked into the local school (Land Green Creek .H)

Lawson's P.O.V

( in the front of the class )

"Alright everyone we have a new student now everyone quite down so she can introduce herself what's ya name sweetheart..?"
I really wasn't into a introducing spirits but I did anyways
" I'm Lawson nice to meet all" I spoke soft but bluntly
"Awww my what a beautiful name for such beautiful girl now everyone be kind and show our new guest the upmost respects and show her around please and thank you . The lady said gesturing me to a seat all the way in the back I made my way to the back feeling all eyes on me like I was a damn crook or sumin, sitting down next to some girl with dark brown hair and skinny with dark blue eyes  wearing a a light green dress not really paying her attention but I could feel eyes burning the side of my face so I took it upon my self to set the record straight
"Not to sound rude but I heard if you take a picture it'll last longer. I said not even giving the girl recondition.
"Well good mornin to you too brat
"I'm not a brat you sittin here staring at me and that's quite rude if you ask me."
"Well maybe if you would have given me a second to speak you wouldn't have felt like I was starin at ya now." She said back with more authority
(I ain't got time to start a fight already I just got here) I thought to myself so I chose to ignore the comment and took a book out from my bag my mother had packed for me
"Oh so you to good to speak now huh well that figures." The girl sitting beside me waiting for a reaction I wasn't going to give her
"Well since you not speaking I'll talk I recon I'm Charlemagne Ditz nice to meet even tho you don't seem to much excited to be here." I rolled my eyes at the annoying words coming out of her mouth but she just kept talking not catching the hint of me wanting to be left alone
" look Charlemagne is it .?You seem very nice and I appreciate the nice talk I really do but I'd like to be left alone for a bit if you don't mind please." I asked politely I finally looked her way she looked hurt at what I had said I. Didn't care but I didn't wanna come off as a mean person so the guilt feeling my head forced me to speak back
" okay look I'm sorry I ain't mean to come off mean I just need time to adjust to things here that's all. After school you could show me round this here school or we could walk to the
court yard together and we can talk then...?" I suggested that one comment putting her back in a better state
"Umm yeah that's sounds mighty fine to me well I'll let you get back to ya book then. The last words she spoke to me for the rest of the class session giving me time to listen to the new stuff I'd be learning about and to get a chance to wallow into the book my mother packed for me

(After school walk)

I was heading back home in a rush to get out of this damn hot ass dress minding my business till I heard footsteps approaching behind me I quickly turning seeing the girl I was speaking to earlier in class
" Heeey Heeey Lawson w-wait up I'm coming " she yelled finally coming face to face taking a moment to catch her breath
"Ahhhhhh ooooooewww well now that you had ya alone time. How you.?" She said looking up at me regaining her breath
"Good I recon"
"Well that's good to hear so where ya from you don't look like you from the low low country side."
"Pssft that's because I'm not my folks and I moved from down Texas we use to live in BringLive's Barrel before the rioting got to  bad and the fields went to shit so we packed up and left well they left I didn't wanna leave I had met some mighty fine people down their to just leave them but that choice wasn't up to me now I'm here ."
  " ohh well I'm sorry"
"Ain't ya fault so since you wanna know so much bout me why ion you make ya self useful and show me around before I head home.?" I asked looking at her because we weren't really walking no where
"Well follow me then sassy gal" She said leading into the opposite direction of my house

(5 mins within the small town limits)

"You see that there?" She pointing to a connecting open store walks "that there is the Mr. Smiths candy shop I love going there all the time when I have extra change to spare for a sweet taste and that beside it is the barbershop my brothers go there all the time and then it's the small picture show at the other side oh  hey on Friday's it's only 3 cents." Charlemagne nudging my shoulder oh and over that there side is Shake Shack. I noticed a sworn of figures exiting out of a small building that was all the way at the end of the road you'd miss it if you weren't paying attention
"Hey what's that over there..?" I asked curious
"Oh that place it's just the colored  people school ion go that far out really
"Why not .?"
What business do I have going down to the  negro area I'd be just askin for trouble  or for something bad to happen
"Hmmm you don't say ." Is all I could respond with looking further down at the street reading the sign saying (creek lane Rd) for some reason my mind m wanted to explore down there but I know if I did my mother and father would have a duck if they found out hell they'll people give me a fuss when I get home now because it's already kinda late
"Well Charlemagne as much as I appreciate the mini tour of the town I got to be heading back to my house so I'll see ya tomorrow alright."
She looked sad that I was already leaving but I wasn't kidding about my parents being a fuss because they are both very protective of me.
  "Well alright I should be getting home too I'll see ya tomorrow you want me to walk you back to the front of the school yard ..?"
  "Ummm no thank you I appreciate it I don't want you home late but I'll see you soon. Parting  our ways she goin in a completely different direction as me. As the time was going by sun still out but the weather caught a slight breeze I steadily walking back but as I walk a my side view caught a glimpse of a small figure on the opposite side of the street from me so I turned to see a brown skinned girl that looked like she had thick curly black hair put into a bun kinda short actually rather short she looked like a kid maybe( 13-14)wearing a dark cream dress minding her own not even realizing I was watching her walk .Trying  to keep the same pace I wasn't trying to be weird but I wanted to know why she was up this far on this side of town but I let it go and pushed the thought to the back of my head heading home honestly exhausted from the long day I had .Within 6 minutes I  would be home.
