When we reached the top of the stairs, my breath was taken away. It was the most beautiful sun room I'd ever seen in my life. Beyond the glass windows, I could see the sun setting, it's colours hypnotising. As I brought myself back to the room, I saw that there was a light grey love-seat with rounded arms and two white cushioned dining chairs on either side, a small low wooden table in the centre. How did Patrick find this place?

"Patrick, it's beautiful how on earth did you find this place?" I looked at Patrick with wonder in my eyes.

Sheepishly, Patrick rubbed the back of his neck, his eyes cast slightly downwards, "Well you were asleep for about eight hours so I had eight hours to explore." He paused, "But that was after I cleaned up the mess we had made and I put you in bed, obviously." Was he embarrassed? It was really adorable the way he was reacting. "Anyway, I stumbled across this room and thought that it'd be nice to practice up here." He walked over to the love-seat and pulled something from behind it.

It was our guitars.

He held mine out to me with a huge grin on his face, smiling even wider when I took it and sat down on the couch. I gently strummed the strings and began to play.

(A/N: this is how I kind of imagined the song to be played)

I sang as I played, the sound of the music taking me away from everything. When I got to the bridge of the song I found that Patrick had started to play too.

"To the 'love' I left my conscience pressed/Through the keyhole as I watched you dress/Kiss and tell, lose lips sink ships." I met his eyes and we sang together, the harmony basically perfect. As we slowed at the end, I noticed that Patrick was just gazing at me, guitar forgotten in his lap.

"What?" I laughed slightly at the face he made at me.

"No nothing. It's just that, well, you look happier."

"I am Patrick," I smiled at him, beaming, "I really am..."

That was two months ago.

Sorry, I've forgotten my manners, Happy New Year! Welcome to February 2009, the year where Fleshers will be wanting to tear you apart! Yay, these are such happy times.

(please, for the love of God realise that's sarcasm there ^)

Now as you might remember that I was telling you what was going on. And yeah, I've skipped some parts because, trust me, you do NOT want to know what happened at the hydroponics place. That was a mess and Patrick and I have sworn to never speak about it again.

At least now we can grow some food...

And we know have the knowledge that some Fleshers are high...

And we know that other survivors want to get high...

Anyways, you probably want to know what happened yesterday. When we tried to get firearms from the police station.

Here's what happened...
