dear winter,

i really hope you don't move too far away.

for college, i mean.

or even if you do, i hope you'll check in often.

and that you won't complain about how i'm "hovering" when i text you to ask about your day.

my brothers are in college, and ever since they left, it's like they disappeared.

sure, they call every other week, but it seems lonely without them here.

they don't visit often either.

dad doesn't even seem to notice that they're not here anymore.

plus, he's never here when they call.

i wonder how long it's been since he's talked to them.

pretty damn long, i bet.
