It's now week 4 of band practice. We are learning our competition show.
I'm pretty good with staying in step and remembering my spots, just the whole band except pit and sousaphone has these dance moves and it looks so cool but we can't do them.
Seth blows his whistle and we take off left foot first playing the correct notes.
A color guard nearly hit my bell with their riffle
Plot twist: what if a flying snare hit a color guard girl? Or boy.
Once we finish the third run through we are dismissed for lunch
Ian runs off the field and Noah has no choice not to chase Ian because Ian forgot his lunch and wants to take Noah's.
I end up walking with Aj back to the band room.
"You and Noah would be cute." Aj comments
"I'm taken by my sousaphone" and I'm totally serious, I love that thing
"Guess what?" He says
"What?"
"I broke up with Courtney." He states with a mixture of sadness and happiness.
"Are you okay?" Im glad he did, like EW GO THE FUCK AWAY COURTNEY
"Yeah I'm glad" Aj says
"Same" I agree "she was pretty bad."
We pick up our lunch sacks and go to the cafeteria
"Guys!" Noah says out of breathe running to us "they're announcing who won spirit week!"
Sure enough Mr. Williams and Seth come stand in the center of the cafeteria.
"We are handing out brag right awards to three sections for winning spirit week." Mr. Williams says
"We had to win" I whisper to Noah, he nods.
"Third place is Trumpets!" Seth yells, the trumpet table starts fist pumping the air
"Second place is percussion" Seth yells
If I didn't play tuba I would like to be in percussion, it looks really awesome.
"First place for their spirit that will go down in the marching lemurs history goes to SOUSAPHONES" Seth screams, people applaud and we cheer
"DAS RIGHT BITCHES!" Ian yells a little too loudly getting a cold glare from Mr. Williams
"Everyone can pick up band camp packets here" Seth yells setting down a huge pile of paper. everyone starts to run..
"I got you guys" Ian says charging into the crowd.
"Not to be mean but is he gay?" I ask Noah and Aj
"I wouldn't be surprised." Aj admits
"He's never said he was but then again I've never heard him talk about a girl." Noah says
"You two are so awkward, its kind of adorable. In other words you're weird" Aj says
"If someone calls you weird look them in the eye and say thank you" I quote my favorite youtuber
" you like kick the pj?" Noah asks
"Yes I love him"
Ian returns with four of the packets
"There's a dance at band camp this year." he says "cough, cough Noah. Cough, cough Bella."
