Kana is able To requip into armor and swords, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. However, she also posses a second quirk called Phoenix Protection. Allowing her to bend fire into armor and weapons at her own free will without using any energy. She gains new armor and swords throughout the story and I'll explain their properties when they are revealed.
