My aunt made dinner, and we ate. Elli still as quiet as ever today and my brothers left to go to practice and I sighed helping clean off the table, Elli stepped outside to make a quick phone call. Their appointment was canceled but it was nice to see my family

" So Liz.. This Elli guy, he's very quiet... Very rich too"

" I know auntie... What's the question? Don't beat around the bush okay?"

" Eh, shuddup.. I see the way you look at that man. You're ready to pounce like a-a lion to his prey"

" No I don't"

I scoffed pushing the chairs in. I looked over at her as she stood there emptying the leftover food into the trash, her eyebrow was raised and her lips curled into a smirk as she stared at me

" Don't lie to me, I know what that look is.. I know that face you make when you're into someone... Don't think I don't know Liz"

I rolled my eyes flicking my hair over my shoulder. My aunt looked at me, before smiling

" What?"

" Nothin... Go find Elli"

" Wha- Why? What for?"

" Just go find him, he looked down"

" He did?"

" Yeah, I could see it in his eyes"

" It's always the eyes auntie"

" The eyes hold the truth to the soul Liz, and I've seen the way your soul looks at his.. Liz that's love"

" No it's not."

" Then what is it? Huh?"

She leaned against the counter. Crossing her feet at her ankles and resting her hand on her hip looking at me

" I.. Well.. I look up to him.. Auntie you don't get it, his life is just so perfect.. Everything just falls into his lap and he makes it better, I've seen where he works. His life is just... It's..-

" It's what you want isn't it?"

" I-

" Liz.. I'm telling you now, that man's life isn't perfect. He's got a lot going for him yes, but what's it doing to him mentally?"

" I- I don't know..."

" See.. You don't know, Liz when you're helping this man pay attention to him.. If you admire him that much you'll be able to learn from him"

She set the rag down and walked over to me. Brushing my hair from my face, her cold fingers held onto my cheek

" Liz, you can deny it all you want but you know your auntie is right. You pay close attention to that man Liz, don't let him go"

" Bu-

" No buts. That's doubt. Don't doubt yourself"

She patted my cheek softly. Turning me towards the door, shoving me

" Now go! Talk to him"

I smiled softly. Taking a deep breathe, I opened the door and turned going down the stairs. The smile on my face getting bigger, once at the bottom of the stairs I looked around Peeking around the corner, not seeing him out front. I leaned back against the wall

" Is he in the car?"

" Who?"

" Ah!"

I jumped, looking over at Elli who put his phone in his pocket while smiling at me
