The next morning, my phone was ringing. I barely saw Alicia's name.
"Hey Alicia, what's up?"
"Kelly is dead!" She screamed in my ear
I jumped up.
"Huh?"
"People found her body hanging from a tree. She was stabbed, 200 times."
My body went cold.
"That's crazy. I can't believe it."
"That's not the worst part." She cried
"What?"
It was a long pause.
"Alicia what?"
"Marcus, the killer carved a message in her body."
I nearly dropped my phone.
"W-what it say?"
"It said: Don't touch what's mines."
I heard someone knocking at the door.
"I have to go. Someone is knocking at the door."
We said bye, and I ran to the door.
I saw Hoseok talking to two guys.
"What's going on?" I asked
Hoseok stepped back.
"Hello are you Marcus?"
It was police officers, One was a woman and the other was a man.
"I'm Detective Simone and this is my partner Detective Jackson."
"Hi. What's going one?"
"We heard you had an altercation with Kelly Soljin."
"Um she slapped me."
"We are fully aware of that. Did you know she was murdered?"
"My friend just called and told me."
They both look at each other.
"Are you dating anyone?" Jackson asked
"No. I'm new to this school."
"Can I have your number then?"
Simone punched Jackson's arm.
"You can't have a victim's number!" She scolded
"Excuse me....You said victim?" I questioned
The Detectives looked at each other.
"Yes I did. We believe someone is killing to show their love are you."
"Umm...What?"
"Detective Simone is expert in this. Her boyfriend is locked up for killing people that came near her or talked to her."
She hit Jackson again.
I laughed. "You guys really think I have a yandere?"
"Yes."
"Yeah okay. I highly doubt that. Maybe she had enemies, and they finally decided to kill her." I continued to laugh
"Just be careful. The yandere will show him or herself."
I just nodded and continued to laugh.
Jackson was smiling at me.
"Can I please have your number?"
"Sure, why not."
I gave him my number.
"Here my card." Simone passed me a card. "Call me if something happens or you have questions."
"Okay."
They left. Hoseok just stood there. I went to lock the door.
"I'm going to call Alicia back."
Hoseok grabbed my from behind.
"You are not scared?"
"I'm not. If I see the yandere then yeah I be scared."
He kissed my cheek. I chuckled a bit.
"Is it bad I love you, but we are not in relationship?"
I looked at him. Then I gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
"No. I feel the same."
He smiled brightly.
"I'm glad we are friends with benefits then."
I rolled my eyes and laugh.
"Whatever. Let me call my friend."
He let me go and I call Alicia.
"Hey. Who was the door?"
I told her it was the police and I told her what happened. Then someone was knocking on the door.
"Can you get it? I'm cooking breakfast." Hoseok yelled.
I sigh and told Alicia I be back on the phone. I went to the door and saw a note attached to a black rose.
I nervously picked it up.
"What is it? You look scared."
I read the note.
"I love you. Just don't let the other people touch you."
I was speechless. Hoseok wrapped me in hug.
"It's okay. We are going to protect you."
