CHAPTER 8: [hero training]

-- THIRD PERSON POV --

"I didn't really believe the fact that we'd actually have pro heroes as our homeroom teachers, but I guess I was wrong! We have the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead, as our homeroom teacher! Everyone in my class are so unique too, right down to their quirks. There was one girl, who was recommended in the Hero Course, who had a quirk that allowed her to create basically anything, as long as it wasn't organic matter. Then there was a boy, another recommended student, who has a dual quirk, giving him the ability to generate ice and fire!" the sign Fukei held out to his mother and father had said as a bright smile was present on his face "And guess what?! I managed to make at least a handful of new friends, even that is a record for me, don't you think? I'm so glad that I won't be alone this school year!" Shisu and Kotai smile up at him, patting his head as he continued to smile.

"We're just glad you're enjoying school." Kotai said, Shisu clapped her hands.

"I'm just glad you hadn't come home with a frown on your face, begging us not to take you to school." Fukei blushed at that remark, scratching the back of his neck at that "I'm just happy to see that you're finally enjoying school, rather than fearing it."

"We must thank this Midoriya boy you often speak about! He's the reason for your sudden confidence boost!" Kotai then pats his back "You've gone to his house more than once, I'm beginning to believe his home is your second home. So I don't see why you shouldn't bring him over!" Shisu just chuckled as she lightly hit Kotai's shoulder.

"You're making it sound like this Midoriya boy is his boyfriend." Kotai laughed as he rubbed the back of his head.

"Oh, I am! Sorry about... that?" he trailed off when they saw Fukei's face a soft shade of pink dusted his cheeks.

"I-Is that how we look together...?" he muttered to himself, he then dropped the sign and covered his face, dropping down into a crouch and shaking his face left and right, Kotai looked at Shisu.

"Look at what you've done to our son, Shisu." she giggled as she waved her hand, watching Kotai crouch down and pat their son's back.

"My bad." she then turned to Neito "How about you, Neito? How was your first day of school?" she slowly lost her smile when she saw the glum look on his face as she stared at Fukei, who was currently having a mental break down while their father was trying to slap some sense into him "Neito? Is everything alright, my dear?" he looked up at his mother and made sure his father and brother didn't hear him when he messed with his hair.

"I'm... not alright." her eyes widened slowly "... I'm just surprised that since Fukei met that Midoriya guy, it's as if we... swapped places." he frowned "While I struggle to make myself shine, he's almost a natural at it. Even though he's nothing but a lost puppy, once he finds that spark... there's no stopping him. You should've seen him during the entrance exam, I struggled to get even ONE point while he managed to get 123 points. That's frustrating for me." he heard a clap and looked over to see Fukei giving him the brightest smiles he's ever seen the male give.

"Brother! How about you? How was class 1-B for you? It wasn't hard, was it? Did you guys get to do the opening ceremony instead of a quirk test? Ah, you're so lucky if you did. Our teacher threatened to expel the person who got last place!" he then clapped his hands "I'm lucky that I managed to place first, but was worried when Midoriya-san scored last! But then our teacher told us that it was just "a logical ruse"! I can't believe he lied to us! That's so mean! But I kind of get what he means..." the three of them then watch as he starts to ramble, Neito's frown deepened.

'First? In a quirk test? Argh, it's like he's rubbing it in my face without even meaning too. This is what I hate so much about you, Fukei. You do stuff without even meaning too...' Neito managed to pull a soft smile as he waved his hand, causing Fukei to stop talking and look down at his brother.
