I think the Chinese Cinderella was better. I liked the beginning where it explains of a man and his wife wanting a daughter and then finally getting one. The wife dies so the old man went to the matchmaker and the matchmaker presented him a woman and her daughter which would be a  for 1. He will get a new wife and his daughter will have a new mother and sister. The father is alive for the whole store. Instead of a prince or a king there is a nobleman. Instead of slippers there is straw sanders. There is the festival. Instead of one animal that helps Cinderella a whole bunch of animals helped her so it's kind of like Snow White. Her name in this version is Pear Blossom. The ending I didn't understand what was going on. They wanted to arrest Pear Blossom so I didn't understand the "happy ending" and nothing happen to the mean step mother and step daughter.

It was interesting to read another version of Cinderella and I would love to read the Egyptian one but this one I feel wasn't as interesting as the other versions I know.
