SUMMARY: Lily Anderson had worked in her local diner her whole life, waitressing and making pies. On one of her shifts she meets Jake, a tired and kinda sad-looking detective. To cheer him up, she serves him a slice of Mermaid Marshmallow Pie and he comes back for more.
Jake had had a tough day at work and he finds himself at a nearby diner, not fancying going to shaws with the rest of the squad. A kind waitress serves him a slice of the most delicious pies he's ever tasted and he can't help going back, and not just for the pie. He's determined to find out who made the pie, because he thinks he's in love.*
