Chapter One.

Her.

I flipped the pages in my book. I could hear my brother and his friends having fun. But I don’t think that fun consists of extreme loudness. I shut my book and walked down to my brother’s room and banged on his door. He turned his music down and looked I could hear him walking to the door. He opened the door.

“What’s up sis?” he asked. I rolled my eyes and folded my arms across my chest.

“What do you mean what’s up? Your being ridiculously way too loud. Either you’re gonna stop. Or your gonna chill out.” I said. He chuckled. I put my hands on my hips.

“Dude, who’s at the door?” One of his friends asked.

“My sister.”  I pushed my way past my brother and walked in his room.

“Excuse me.” I said politely to him. I stood in front of Emanuel’s friends my hands on my hips and my foot tapping impatiently. “What are you doing?”

“What are you doing?” My brother asked closing the door.

“Standing in your room. What does it look like?” I asked.

“You’re invading my personal space.” He said.

“Like a care?”

“For you to be an angel you sure aren’t holy.” He muttered. I rolled my eyes and pointed my finger at him.

Fallen angel.” I said. “Brother.” He put his hands up in surrender.

“Don’t use your witchy powers on me.” He said. “I’m a mere angel.” He said pouting. I grunted aloud and turned back to his friends.

“Look, all I ask is for peace and quiet. Can you do that for me? Thanks.” I said and walked to the door. I opened it and turned back to the boys. “Thank you for your cooperation, buh-bye!” then I walked back out shutting the door.

“Laeria my dear, come here.” My father called. I rushed to his office and found him looking down at Earth.

“Father?” I asked my head down.

“My dear… I have a task for you.” He said.

“And that would be?” I asked.

“I need you to capture a creature, I need you to convince him you like him… and then bring him here. He’s an abomination. He disturbs the human’s peace.” Father said. I nodded.

“…Wait Father…” I said.

“Yes my dear?”

“Do I have to convince him I like him?” I asked my voice shaky.

“You’re the only one that can lure him in. Your beauty, your grace, you’re the perfect one to do so. We had to take extreme measures… come my dear.” Father said. I looked up and walked over to where he was. He was looking down at a forest? Wait… no woods? There was a beast. A huge beast attacking innocent people. Innocent people that worked for my father.

“Oh no.” I said my hand on my heart.

“Yes, I know my dear, nothing… nothing has worked. I wouldn’t have used you to do this if we could bring him in. But we just can’t.” I nodded.

“I understand Father. I’ll bring him back, you have my word.” I said. “When do I start?” He looked down again. Then looked back up at me. No words said, I knew when I had to start. I walked out the office and went to my brother’s room. Without knocking once more. I barged in. “Emanuel, what I tell you to do is very, very serious.”

He looked at me like he was confused but nodded slowly. “Yeah sure what?”

“Watch my potions.” I said. He groaned.

“Why do I have to do it?” He asked.

“Because I’m going on a mission, I’m not going to be here and if my potions somehow bubble just a little less or a little too much, it can be very deadly to the person I gave it to.” I said my gaze serious upon his.

“Oh… ok.” He said. “When will you be back?”

“Probably tomorrow. It all depends on if the beast wants to put up a fight or not.” I said grinning.

“Dude, I swear your sister’s hardcore.” One of his friends said mesmerized. I grinned at him and winked.

“I am.” I said. Then I walked over to my brother’s showcase of weapons.

“Wait wait sis what are you doing?” He asked.

“Barrowing something that might be useful.” I said.

“Those are made out of Angel Tears!” He said.

“Yeah… and that just might do the damage I need.” I said.

“Don’t you have your own?” Emanuel asked standing impatiently. I nodded smiling.

“Mine are pure Angel Tears, meaning if it shatters or is broken it is absolutely hard to get another.” I said. “But Angel Tears I can synthesize myself. So, I’ll be taking these.” I went up to him and gave him a quick hug and walked into my room. I grabbed a back pack and stuffed things I’ll need in there. I put the weapons in a safe spot where I can access them anytime I needed to and put other stuff in. I grabbed my book and put it in there too then I went into my closet and changed into something that might suit the weather for where the beast is. I threw the hood over my head to cover my hair and I dropped down from my window and landed on Earth, not too far from the beast.

This is what I’ve been waiting for.
