Your Indie Ocean sweeps me from coast to
Smooth coast. Sand dune shadows commune
At sunset light. A lone whimpering guitar,
The songs of salt and spraying sea binding
Me in ways that haven't been before.
You have a need I cannot meet and
I wonder if it is backlash from my broken
Balance.
Your stars blink away the tears that come
Unbidden, blinking away startled sorrow
Inspired by spirited thoughts of a dancing maiden
Lost to her lover. Your voice carries across
The waves and the seas stop in wonder.
I have yet to know you as intime
As I would, but time is a master unbeknownst
To man.
I suppose it's only fair you pay me back in
Kind. Your own misery is tragic to me, and yet...
I am the source of the welling emotion, the
Emotive cry in the settling darkness, accompanied
By the creak of wood and whisper of sail.
Your heart is speaking to me again, and
I'm forced to acknowledge your agony at
My hand.
I've no means of repentance, but I am Bound
To you eternally. Fate is cruel to be kind, blinding
To force us to open our ears. And listen I have.
The shaking soft voice, the absence of harmony.
Everything I've ever done to you apparent.
We were a catalyst for bigger things, dark
Things I wished upon you, heaped on me a
Thousand times over.
