Trixie gripped her ankles harder as she pushed her face as far as she could into her knees and sobbed louder while her father continued to berate and yell profanities at her.

"I miss my mom... I miss my mom... I miss my mom."

She continued to mutter into her mascara stained knees.

Her attention was grasped by the sound of a tap against her window, she paused and looked over before she heard the tap again.

Trixie got up and made her way over, she pulled her curtain out of the way carefully and looked down at Katya who'd be chucking pebbles at her window to grasp her attention.

She could see Katya's red cheeks and bloodshot eyes, her heart broke more knowing what she had todo now.

She pulled her window up and leaned a bit out the opening...

"Katya...I told you to leave."

Katya sniffled and wiped her nose.

"I can't, I care about you."

"I know..."

Trixies voice broke.

"So let me stay. We'll figure this out, Trix..."

Trixie looked away and wiped her eyes before looking back at the scrawny and sickly looking girl below her.

"Not now, Katya. You need to go and take care of yourself, you're still recovering."

"I don't give a damn."

Katya argued and crossed her arms.

Trixie could tell she was getting cold. She turned away and grabbed a cardigan from the back of her door before heading down the stairs quietly and sneaking out the backdoor and around the left side of the house.

She found Katya leaned up against the wall with her nose pressed into the palm of her hand and her eyes shut as she tried to breathe.

"Here."

Trixie held out the cardigan to her - Katya tried to refuse but Trixie insisted and wrapped the cardigan around Katya's shoulders.

"Go home, Katya."

"But-"

"Go."

Katya furrowed her brows and tried to take a step towards Trixie, but Trixie put her hand up and pushed Katya back gently.

"I don't want you, I don't want to be with you. It was a mistake, I made a mistake."

Katya dropped her arms and narrowed her eyes, they began to swell with tears.

"I am sorry. Katya."

Trixie crossed her arms and took a step back as she held her breath to keep from letting out a choked up sob or cry.

Katya bit down on her tongue as she pulled the cardigan off her shoulders and tossed it at Trixie's feet.

"Fuck you..."
