Why is this such a trend?
I think the reason why this and other 'Human' fandoms infuriates me is that because while people like me spend so much time designing a personification this only slaps things onto bodies and then gives them clothes. Yes it does also take effort to design the clothes and give the characters a few physical traits like how Mars here I think has a scar on his face that references Valles Marineris and how CH Philippines has a yellow eye to represent the sun on the flag. But still, its alot less work and yet they somehow get more attention, why? idk I don't wanna go to the depths of Tumblr in order to know the answer
And like I said before, even if I somehow got hooked into these 'Human' fandoms, I'll still think this is lazy

Wait, come to thing of it, what if the reason why this is so popular is because of the fact the characters are so simple, they're easy to recognize and make fanart of.....
