Prequel to Dec and Ali's Wedding

Chapter 6

Started writing this...didn't really like it... But didn't have anything else so went back to finishing this😂 Still not keen on it.

I've got 1 or 2 other ideas that are floating in my head at the moment though, but if there's anything specific, let me know 👍

It was the final episode of Saturday Night Takeaway and the boys were looking forward to being able to have some time off before the live shows of Britain's Got Talent started. Dec's relationship with Ali was still a secret as they wanted as much time to themselves before everyone else knew. They were really fortunate that the press hadn't found out yet as they had been spending lots of time together, more than usual.

Ant and Dec headed towards their dressing room so they could relax before the after party started, they both enjoyed working on SNT as it was their show. They contributed largely to the making of it, compared to the others they hosted so it took a lot of effort and planning. They wanted to celebrate this series more than ever, especially after its hiatus. As they entered their dressing room, they were surprised by both Lisa and Ali, who were already dressed to attend the party. Ali had a bottle of champagne with her and Lisa had 4 glasses so they could have an intimate celebration beforehand. Both boys walked up to their partners and gently kissed and hugged them.

"You both look amazing. Wow- Ali," Dec held her hand gently and stepped back, being able to look at Ali properly, "you look gorgeous."

Ant said something similar to Lisa, but whispered it to her, not wanting Dec and Ali to hear what he was saying. Lisa playfully slapped Ant on the shoulder, who giggled.

"I say we pop this open. Get things started." Ali opened the bottle and poured it into the glasses. They clinked glasses and all cheered. Both boys wanted to change their suits before they joined the others at the party, so Ali and Lisa went on ahead to let Ant and Dec change.

"I can't believe how lucky I am, Ant. Ali's perfect, she really is. I'm thinking of asking her to move in with me, is it too soon though? I mean, we've only been with each other for like 7 weeks."

Ant turned around and faced Dec, "depends how you feel and she feels. You've both said you love each other, so realistically you don't need to overthink it."

"Do you reckon I should do it tonight? Should I make it special? What would she say? I haven't even got her a proper key yet. She's just got one if the old spare ones. I don't know, what if she doesn't want to? What if I'm rushing it? What if-"

"Hey Decs, hey," Ant placed both hands on his either side of his cheek, "calm down. You're panicking yourself. There's nothing to worry about, you basically live with each other already."

"I am, aren't I?" Dec grabbed his suit jacket and blew out a breath, "I might do it tonight, we'll see how it goes."

"There we go, well done lad. You ready?" Ant put a new suit jacket on and walked towards the door.

"Yeah, let's go!" They walked out of the dressing room and could hear music coming from the room where the wrap party was being held.

As they both entered the room, they were greeted with cheers, which included everyone that worked on the show, and their partners. They were both handed mics to give a speech about the series and give thanks to everyone. It didn't last long though as all of them wanted to just go ahead and party. The boys were planning on getting slightly drunk, so Ali and Lisa felt like they couldn't drink too much, just to make sure that they stayed safe and didn't embarrass themselves too much.
