Three years later

"Liyah you are late!" My boss Kim Newman screamed at me through the phone. I was struggling holding about four cups of coffee in my hands, holding my cell phone up with my shoulder, listening to her screams.

"I'm on my way, my alarm didn't go off this morning." I hung up on her as she kept on going and going about what had to be done, I know she wouldn't mind, she probably laughed. We were close and I was basically the top journalist at Frame, my career boosted up faster than I thought within the last couple years.

I've been here at Frame for three years now, and my life's just as I imagined it from where I left off three years ago. I lived in a loft in NYC, was working my dream job, at one of the best companies in the world. With of course my beautiful, just turned three year old daughter, Lilyana.

I walked into the main building at Frame and I was greeted with hello's as I ran to the elevator. I got out and ran to the conference room where the first meeting was of the morning that I was already running late too.

"Liyah so nice of you to finally show up, hurry take a seat we tried not to start without you."

"Thanks." I said smiling and passing the coffee out to the four people I got one for. I sat down next to Tay and took the paper to follow the conversation.

"So as you all know our cosmetics line is fine." Kim said showing us the sales of the cosmetics line, our sales were high as usual, there was a larger profit this month cause it was the month of December, holidays were coming up.

"We got to step our game up in the sports section." She said showing us the Sports magazine that had just launched out three months ago. "And I have the perfect sports team to interview."

"What about baseball? It just ended, we can get a few interviews with both the teams." Suggested another one of the journalists, Kyla.

"Or maybe top basketball players? Since training is starting." Another journalist Mikey said.

"Those are both good ideas and I expect you guys to get on it and see what you can do." Kim said taking out a tablet and turned it to show us.

"Football. New York Giants, they're on a seven win streak." She said scrolling down the tablet. "They're big in the highlights right now."

"That's everyone's favorite team right now especially here in NY." Mikey said taking notes at what she was saying.

"Yes of course," Kim said sitting down and looking at me. "And I need you to do the interview for the Frame channel, I just need to schedule it."

"No problem boss lady," I smiled sipping on my coffee. "Which player or is it the whole team?"

"Oh no, just one player in particular I'm thinking." She said going through the tablet getting a list of players. At this point I wasn't clearly thinking, I had a long morning. Just hearing the team name should've gave me a clue on what was going to be said next, but it's the last thing I'm expecting, my lucks been decent lately.

"Who's the lucky guy?" Tay said laughing and elbowing me. I love that we both get to work together, we were still close as ever. She was there with me through everything the past three years, she's been helping me with Lily too.

"Oh, him! The sexy QB, Joshua Sanders."
