🌕✨⭐️
The moon shined brightly in the sky when I was walking home from my dinner with May and Dawn. My mind filled with questions... Ever since Dawn put the possibility of Ash and I ending up together, all I could think about was the feeling of being loved... It must be so great to be loved by someone, to be special and unique for that person.
My walk home seemed full of stars and thoughts. The sky shined brighter than usual. The small stars never ceased to impress me. Their light was a blessing for sore eyes. Their union with the dark black sky became a perfect combination... How light and dark became one and better together. Soulmates, I guess. My eyes never left the sky. My mind wandering about the day I lived: about Ash, about feelings, about hate and love. Life never seemed so full to me as now.
That's when I heard a horn. A black car standing nearly centimeters away from me. I could have died. Right here, right now, thanks to my thoughts and troubled mind, I could have died. The fear of death getting to my heart making it beat faster and faster. My breathing became accelerated and I felt myself shaking. That was a big scare. That's when I heard his raspy voice...
"Princess, are you okay?" I looked at the boy rushing to me. My heart beating faster. His hands grabbed mine. "You're shaking" I gave him a small smile, trying to tell him 'you are so clever I haven't realized that' but my panic was growing inside me. "Calm down...It's okay" I felt his strong arms around me...For a minute I felt safe. Until I realized whose arms were holding me. Ash Ketchum. I broke the hug and look him in the eyes but what I saw... It didn't seem like the same Ash I met before. This Ash seemed kind and worried.
"Thanks for not running me over," I said. My eyes locked in his. His tender auburn eyes giving me chills.
"You should have been paying more attention. You looked like you were daydreaming."
"Yeah...You're right." I turn my eyes to the ground. Inside I was feeling embarrassed and stupid...Why did I not pay attention? Why was the driver Ash?
"No comeback? No critical remark?" He asked making my eyes turn to look at his stupid smirk "Blondie you sure are impressive"
"Oh shut up!" I said scowling, clenching my fists. This guy has a way to get into my nerves.
"What if I don't? What will you do?" His smirk is more obvious and annoying than ever
"I'll make you"
"How? You're just a girl"
"This girl could and will give you a very hard slap in that stupid face of yours if you don't shut up now" True being said I never punched or slapped someone but the heat of the moment made me say it. I guess no other comeback came into my mind except that. Even though maybe that's not even considered a comeback... I heard him giggle...Gosh, I thought he could be a bit afraid but nothing.
"Oh well...I'm not in the mood to be slapped so I might as well shut up" His eyes meeting mine halfway as he looked around us. We were still standing in the middle of the road. Good thing not many cars pass through here at these hours. "But before I shut up, I'll give you a ride home"
"What?" I couldn't contain the shock I was feeling by hearing those words. Take me home? No, no, no.
"You clearly heard me. If your little brain keeps wandering off you can get run over"
"No" He looked at me with a confused face. "First I don't trust you. Second, it would be very ridiculous since you just left that place, come back to it"
"Well, I don't mind, blondie. At least I don't feel guilty if something happens to you"
"There's no way I'm getting in your car" Anger poured through me... This guy is giving me a headache.
