The Pain of Words

Your words they slap me,

I dry my eyes,

I hide my pain,

But inside lies the shame.

Inside I, fall apart

Bruises form that don't depart.

Your words they push me -

Closer to the egde,

If I jump off,

Will it end?

I close my eyes,

And have a dream

Of a ridge, below it a stream,

And in slow motion,

I jump straight off,

Hitting the water with open arms.

This is what i want to do,

When you make me this blue,

It's like your pushing,

Begging, taunting me to take the leap

Of death.

Your words they cut me,

I dry my eyes,

I hide my pain,

But this is something

No longer can i bear.

So with a smile,

Tears in my eyes,

Over I go

Without a goodbye.
