10. Jealousy

Obanai watched from the tree as a scowl appeared behind his mask. The familiar burning sensation of jealousy was present in his body as he watched Tengen hugging [name] a little too tight for his liking.

"Come on, [name]! Be my fourth wife!" Tengen chuckled, and [name] laughed in response as they withdrew from the hug. She then shook her head and Tengen chuckled once more as he patted her on the head.

"Well, all I need to do is to make you fall in love with me!" he spoke out, and [name] shook her head and was about to run off, only to feel Tengen snaking his muscular arms around her waist and tugging her back.

Lifting her in the air, she squealed slightly.

"You already have three wives, Uzui-san! Why do you need me to be your wife?" she asked, clearly confused and unaware that Obanai was watching their every move.

"You're flamboyantly cute!" and then Tengen placed [name] down and continued to hug her. Bending down to the side of her face and whispered into her ear.

"You can consider me to be a divorced man too," he teased, and [name]'s face immediately flushed red as she shoved the Sound Hashira away and turned on her heels, running away from him at a full speed.

Tengen then chuckled at the flustered [name] and soon looked up to where Obanai was.

"Want a bet? I'll make her my wife before she even realizes that she's the one you're in love with," Tengen spoke out and Obanai narrowed his heterochromia eyes at him.

Oh, the game was on then.

"How are things between you and [name] anyway, Iguro-san?" Shinobu's voice was heard and Obanai's heterochromia eyes then watched as the Insect Hashira soon appeared.

"None of your business," Obanai spat out and paled a little when Shinobu smiled at him with her usual sarcastic smile.

"I heard you were practicing with her yesterday on how to confess, how did it go?" and Tengen burst out laughing but was immediately smacked by Shinobu.

"So, you failed the confession?! That's so not flamboyant of you!" Tengen chuckled out and Obanai sighed as he jumped from the branch and landed safely onto his feet. He then scowled in response as he noticed Giyuu walking over.

Tengen's eyes then lit up as if he had an idea and immediately ran towards Giyuu, picking up the Water Hashira easily and running away.

"Everybody knows that you're in love with her, you know," Shinobu spoke, smiling at the Serpent Hashira as she lightly hits him on the head for scowling at her earlier on.

"IT IS TRUE! [NAME] IS EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL AND CUTE!" Kyojuro's voice was heard and Obanai then looked at the Flame Hashira who appeared.

"Just earlier on before Uzui-san came and approach her, I spotted a bunch of boys staring at her with their googly eyes, while she greeted them. Which was cute!" Kyojuro added on and Obanai flinched slightly at the part where Kyojuro had mentioned boys staring at [name].

"Indeed! Akane-san is quite popular amongst all the demon slayers. It has always been her older brother glaring at them and telling them to keep their hands to themselves and not approach," Kyojuro then nodded at Shinobu had said, and Obanai sighed.

"I did confess to her, but she thought it was just a practice run," he mumbled out.

"You might want to hurry up or else someone might snatch her away from you. Someone by the name of Uzui Tengen, or maybe Tomioka Giyuu... Oh, a high chance it might be Shinazugawa Sanemi as well," Shinobu added on and Obanai started to pale even more.
