Me and my friend amber pulled up her boyfriends house him and his soccer team were throwing the biggest party they throw every year for the start of season. This is the first year I come to this party she basically forced me to come this year. She said that I wouldn't regret it.
We got out the car and you can hear the music from across the street and the house was so packed kids had to stand in the yard. I hate partys and big groups like this.
"Hey idk if I can do this ya know it's a school night and-" I start to say stopping
"Come onnn y/n this party Is only once a year. It's just one night. You'll live come on" she says pulling me inside.
We meet with her boyfriend Alex and he's with some of his teammates. He introduced me to all of them.
"Hey imma go get a drink I'll be back" amber says leaving with Alex. Welp I'm never seeing her again tonight I say to myself. I awkwardly stand there with alexes teammates and make small talk.
"So y/n what do you like to do?" One of them ask

"YO TROYYYYYY MY BOYYY!" He screams pointing behind me I turn around and see my crush since freshman year smiling and walking right towards me. My mood changes real quick.

We walk out to the back where surprising there wasn't a lot of people. We sit on the swing thing.
"So tell me why haven't you come to any of these party's before" he asks

"I'm sure I would have noticed someone as gorgeous as you come to one of these party's" he says

"Well I not really the party type like at all. I don't really like being around a lot of people and tone honest theses party are kinda lame to me" I say slightly laughing

I cover my face forgetting he's team captain of the soccer team and basically the mastermind behind all these party's.
"Omg I'm so sorry I didn't mean" I say
"It's okay I totally understand I kinda feel the same way" he laughs
"Wait aren't you like the guy that started the tradition?"
"Yeah it was fun in the beginning. But then it started to feel forced and just doesn't feel the same as it did the first time ya know ?"
"Yeah I understand" I say
Me and Troy talk for hours and the house slowly starts to get quiet and people start to leave.
Me and him are laughing at something stupid

He starts to lean in but I clear my throat and kinda pull away. I don't know why I pulled away.
"Um It's getting pretty late. Um I should go and try find amber we have a chem test tomorrow. It was really nice talking to you Troy" I smile getting up he gets up to
"Y-yeah it was really nice talking to you to" he says looking in my eyes and then his feet. I walk away and into the house and upstairs looking in the rooms trying to find amber.
I open the last door
"Amb- oh my god I'm so sorry " I say covering my face covering it from the view of amber and Alex having sex.
I close the door and walk downstairs and to the front porch.
I get a text from amber
"Hey I'm going to spend the night here. Is it possible for you to catch a ride? I'm sorry xoxo"
Great. I'm at a party where I barely know anyone how am I supposed-

"Huh yeah actually that would be amazing" I laugh
We walk to his car and it's just awkward silence the whole time. We finally pull up to my house
