TO JAMIE BAKER, being the second oldest child in the Baker family was challenging at times. She didn't have any hand-me-downs but she did have have to play a maternal role at times to her younger siblings. Though when the family moves, Jamie finds herself playing the roles of mother & father almost everyday.
With Nora being in a relationship and not living home, with Charlie visiting his girlfriend every chance he got and Lorraine being in her own world, she has to step up to make sure her siblings don't fail in school and life. Jamie didn't appreciate her new-found role but she can't say anything, her parents were living their dreams and getting paid to support the family. However, the family comes closer together when one of their own feels abandoned and decides to leave.
