Y/N walked quietly along the green leaves and scenery as she quietly carried the petite clay jars of tea to the 'tomb' where the White Lady lay. Y/N was the assistant of the queen, (White Lady) and ever since Dryya had... passed away fending off infected mantises, Y/N had been the only active servant for her. The only alive servant for that matter.

She hitched her breath as the mantis corpses started to appear as she got closer to her destination. This place always made her sick, seeing all these dead bodies just littered around. It was however, seeing Dryya that was always the hardest. And Y/N didn't want to move Dryya's body away, she believed in respecting the dead and not moving them from their final breathing place.

She stepped lightly over the mantises, being careful not to spill any of the tea. The White Lady had told her to bring some kind of beverage next time Y/N came to check up on her, and Y/N had decided on tea because she thought the queen may like it. She didn't know though, she could only hope.

As the grass and fronds of large plants started to thin around her, Y/N gulped, preparing herself once again for the sight of Dryya, the ever so fierce and loyal guard who had protected the Lady till the end. She at least died knowing she had fulfilled her duty as best she could.

The plants finally cleared out and Y/N laid her eyes unwillingly upon Dryya, her nail lain askew next to her body. Her eyes still held one last final look of fury and loyalty. Y/N shook her head slightly at the sight and grimaced, bowing her head. She quietly made her way to the tomb like structure behind the many corpses, stealing one last glance at Dryya before squeezing in the tight entrance. d(v)b ok but like- that last sentence out of context tho XD)

Y/N slowly slid down the hole like structure, avoiding the white roots that sprout out in random spots. The roots that led to the queen herself. It was quite hard for the poor bug, trying not to spill the tea while going down the network of tunnels that led to the White Lady. Luckily however, Y/N didn't have to do this often, she usually checked in on the queen every 3 or so months. The White Lady had told her not to worry too much about coming out to visit her since she got along just fine by herself.

Nonetheless, despite the Lady's claims, Y/N still worried about her. She had occasionally seemed very melancholy on some of Y/N's visits and it seemed to Y/N that her memory and thoughts as you might say it, were slowing down. The root like creature wasn't even aware of Dryya's death, and Y/N didn't have the guts to tell her yet.

Y/N huffed as she maneuvered herself and the tea over the last final roots, coming out into the main cave where the queen lay. Y/N was still able to be baffled at the beauty of the cave, and the White Lady herself. It was a rounded cave, deep underground for protection from the mantises, and the White Lady sat in the middle, her body bound by silver ribbons and her roots going into the ceiling and floor ROOTING (Not sorry) her down to the ground.

Y/N slowed down her heavy breathing, which had been caused by the trouble of not spilling her drinks and climbing down at the same time, and walked out into the clearing of the cave, where the White Lady sat, her eyes seemingly sealed shut. However, when Y/N cleared her throat, holding out the tray the two cups were on, her gray-blue eyes snapped open.

She watched Y/N approach with a bird like gaze, not speaking until the much smaller bug was fully at the base of her roots. "Y/N?" She quietly murmered, her eyes almost seeming to try and focus, much resembling a camera. Y/N nodded, wincing at the White Lady's struggles to see and recongnize. Her vision is not what it once was either...

Y/N however pushed away her doubts, smiling as brightly as she could muster up at the White Lady. "It's me, your Majesty!" Her voice full of fake cheer. The White Lady seemed pleased with this response and relaxed a bit. "You do not have to call me 'Majesty' Y/N." She stated gently, her eyes hazy.

Y/N shrugged and took one of the cups off the tray, setting it on one of her base roots. "I brought you some tea." She said, and then sipped some outy of her own cup. The White Lady's expression switched to confusion. "Why did you bring me it though? I never asked for it." Y/N sighed. "Yes, you did... last time I visited?" The giant plant creature's forehead creased. "Did I?" Y/N nodded. The White Lady shook her head, her eyes holding some sort of sadness and perhaps even regret in them. "I am sorry then, my dear Y/N. My memory is not what it once was."

Y/N grimaced as the Lady repeated exactly what she had been thinking about earlier. "I-It's fine." The White Lady sadly nodded and then one of her smaller roots sprang from the ground, wrapping around the cup and lifting it to her mouth. She finished it off quite quickly due to the size comparison between the two and then set it down, staring directly at Y/N.

"How is Dryya doing? She hasn't come down to visit me for a long time, I dare say." Y/N immediately stiffened. "D-Dryya...? She slowly looked up at the queen. The White Lady cocked her head to the side a bit. "That is what I said, am I wrong?" Y/N shook her head. "N-No you- you said that." The White Lady gave a stiff nod. "Yes, so then answer my question young one. How is she? Could I see her?"

Y/N set her cup of tea down slowly. "Majesty-" She cut off, biting her lip. The White Lady gestured forward with one of her smaller roots. "Go on." She prodded. Y/N closed her eyes so she wouldn't have to see the look on the White Lady's face. "Your Majesty... Dryya- Dryya is- dead..." Y/N trailed off at the end, keeping her eyes sealed shut.

She heard the White Lady let out a small gasp and slit open her eyes to see her staring down at Y/N in shock. After a few seconds, the root creature managed to get something out. "Are- Are you serious...?" Y/N nodded her head in shame slowly. The White Lady closed her eyes.

The two sat there together in the cave for a few moments, Y/N awkwardly fiddling with her cup and the queen just sitting there in silence. Eventually, however, the queen weakly split open her eyes, averting them down to the ground instead of looking at Y/N. "You may leave now." She plainly stated. Y/N thought about objecting, but the queen looked so broken right now, therefore Y/N kept her mouth shut.

She just nodded instead, and backed out of the cave, not bothering to pick up the cups. She then quietly climbed out of the cave, over the roots and then emerging back into the greenery and sunlight. She threw a glance at Dryya's body, then scanned the clearing, quickly finding what she wanted. She walked over to it, picking it up very gently and then walking back to the silver corpse. Y/N stared at it for a moment and then laid it down near her chest area, before walking off into the greenery and plants back to her humble home, all the while swearing to herself that she would protect the White Lady in Dryya's place. No matter what.

And then a petal softly tumbled to the ground from the Delicate Flower Y/N had lain on the corpse of the Great Warrior Dryya.
