NASCAR is a very different sport, at least at how it looks like. The Gen 1-Gen 3 era was still the same, but they ran the Gen 4 from 2001- 2012, and they made it very safe while producing great racing. From 2013 - ongoing, they used 2014 nationwide series cars with the eared-spoilers. They looked like this :
