At school, Sam and I were teasing the boys over the fact we were the two players constantly kicking their butts in Doomed and they didn't even know it.

"I'm Ghost Hunter Boy, I'm Fryer Tuck. We don't need your help because you two are girls!" Sam said in a mocking tone as we both crossed our arms and gave the two a smug smirk.

Getting annoyed Tucker tries to make a basketball shot and misses as he says to us, "Alright, alright enough already."

"I can't believe it was you two dusting us all this time, why didn't you say anything?" Danny questioned us as Sam picked up the ball and let it spin on her finger then let it roll down both her arms before shooting it through the hoop while she explained.

"We tried too, but between the condescension and the cockiness we barely had time for anything else."

"She does have a point you know, you two do like to gloat about how you're pros of the game," I stated, picking up the ball and beginning to dribble it as I passed it from hand to hand before, spinning it on my finger and making a three-pointer shot.

"Well, the main thing is Sam can help me fight Technus while you two are out of commission and then (y/n) can help once she's done helping you study." We instantly glared at Tuck and he corrected himself. "I mean I can help Sam and (y/n) when she can come."

I take a quick glance at Danny to see he has an apologetic look on his face as he mutters to us, "What a mess, it's my fault that Technus is out there while I'm stuck studying the world's dullest subject."

I roll my eyes a bit as I swing an arm around him and ask him, "Oh? When did you start studying math? In fact, when did we have a math test and when did you fail it?" I ask him with a smile and his features instantly lighten up as he gives me a smile and a small laugh when Sam grasps his shoulder.

"Just leave everything to us, Danny, Technus may have the power but we've got the moves," Again Sam shoots a basket as she continues explaining. "We've got codes and secret powerups in our arsenal. Of course, you guys must know all of those too right? Weird, the girls do, maybe you guys need to communicate better."

Suddenly we heard Lancer shout our names as the gym door slammed open to reveal him as he ordered me and Danny into his classroom.

Studying with Danny wasn't going too well as he barely paid attention and somewhat understandably his mind wasn't on studying meaning he wasn't willing to put in the effort to study. He even fell asleep at one point causing him to phase through his desk. Before Mr. Lancer notices anything I pull him back up, waking him in the process. With a yawn, Danny stands up to stretch and begins to walk around.

"Going somewhere, Mr. Fenton?" Mr. Lancer asks, eyeing Danny.

"Just stretching my legs...Oh, writing your sister huh? You have a sister?" Danny asks as I approach to see the photo Lancer is showing him.

I shiver in disgust at the photograph of Lancer wearing a pink floral dress, a curly ginger-colored wig, and lipstick.

"Haven't seen her in ages, can't afford the plane fare. You know this would be an excellent time for you to say 'Gosh Mr. Lancer I never realized being a teacher could be so difficult'."

He gives us an expectant glance and Danny retaliates with, "We're fourteen, we don't really care."

Giving out an exasperated sigh Lancer mutters before leaving, "Yes, yes...I'm gonna get some air."

Once Lancer was out of the room Danny rushed onto the computer and logged into Doomed muttering, "Gotta cross teacher of my what I wanna be when I grow up list."

"Danny, what are you doing? You need to study!" I inform Danny and he tells me:

"Checking up on Sam and Tuck," He then turns his attention to the screen and starts talking to the two. "You guys there?"

"What are you doing online?"

"Just checking in, how's it going?" Danny asks the two as they continue to fight.

"We're keeping Technus in check, but he's getting stronger it's just a matter of time before he masters the game," Tucker informs us and Danny begins typing and saying his response out loud.

"Wish we could help, studying is a drag."

"Is it Danny?" Lancer asked behind us and we turned around with a shocked face.

"Mr. Lancer I...I was just taking the—"

"Taking up my valuable time, there are no cheat codes in school Danny, or in life but if you don't care why should I?" He walked back outside and Danny frowned, glancing towards the poetry textbook.

I picked it up and handed it to Danny as I told him, "Danny you said you wanted to become an astronaut, if you really want to do that you have to keep your grades up, so study. The faster you get this done the faster we can deal with Technus," He looks at me with a small smile and nods, cupping his face with my hand, I rub my thumb over his cheek as I say, "You can do this, I'm gonna go home and help Sam and Tuck."

Before I could remove my hand Danny grasped it with his own and said with a smile, "Thank you (y/n) for always supporting me."

Danny watches (y/n) leave, letting out a sigh of happiness, a light pink forming on his cheeks before shaking his thoughts back to poetry and heading out of the classroom for Mr. Lancer's help.

"Um in the poem The Tiger, why does he rhyme the words eye and symmetry?"

"The poem was written in the early 1800s I'm sure there were multiple ways to pronounce that word."

"It's Blake, right? William Blake?" Danny asks sitting down next to Lancer.

"Actually yes. There were actually other poems he wrote that used the same form of rhyme scheme."

"Really? Which ones?"
