Chapter 3

Tony's POV
"I-it's mom" Grace said and broke down crying "Wha-whats wring with mom" Nick asked worrying "Dad said she got sick" Grace said "What do you mean sick" Nick asked and Grace cried I hugged her tighter "What do you mean by sick Grace" Nick asked again "Mom has cancer... they found it a hour ago dad just called" she said hugging me "Wha- No she can't be sick" Nick said pacing the floor "We have to go back" Nick said "No Nick dad said don't it will make mom sad" Grace said "I DONT FUCKING CARE WHAT DAD SAID WE NEED TO FUCKING GO HOME GRACE" Nick said screaming making the whole house wake up and come to my room. "FUCKKKK" Nick yelled throwing his glasses "Nick- NICOLAS" Grace yelled "WHAT" he yelled back "stop" Grace said and Nick fell to his knees crying. Grace let go of me and hugged her brother. They both sobbed on my floor. "What's wrong" Thomas mouthed "Ill let you know later" I said making sure it was going to be ok from Grace and Nick. Thomas shooed everyone back to their rooms. "I need to go to bed... I need to call dad" Nick said "Do you want to sleep in my room" Grace asked him "No I'm ok.. Tony I'm sorry I yelled it didn't-" I stopped him "No Nick you have every right... I'm always here you know that" I said and hugged Nick "Yeah I know" Nick said and hugged Grace one more time before picking up his glasses and going back to his room. I looked at Grace and she looked at me "Come sleep with me tonight" I said knowing she didn't want to be alone "Ok..." she said and I moved over and she laid next to me "Do you want a hoodie" I asked her noticing she was in her outfit from earlier "Yes please" she said and I got her a pair of my boxers and my hoodie and I turned around and she got back in bed with me once she changed. I turned back around and hugged her "Tony" she said "Yeah" I asked "I can't loose my mom" She said sobbing "Grace... Don't think like that Stacy is a fighter you know that" I said rubbing Graces back "Tony I can't do this" she said "What" I asked "I can't watch my mom be in pain" she said and turned around do face me "Did you dad say she was" I asked "No he said she went in for her physical and they found it" Grace said "Is it bad" I asked "It's stage one breast cancer" Grace said moving closer to me "Well that's not bad I hear a lot of people best stage one since they catch it so early" I said "Yeah that's what my dad said" Grace said "Let's get your mind off of this ok let's do something or talk about something else" I said knowing Grace will keep thinking the worst "Yesh your probably right" she said "Did you see Tayler and Dixie today" Grace asked "Yessss omg they make such a cute couple" I said "For realllll like they way he looks at her and everything" Grace said smiling

Time skipp they finally fell asleep

"Tony.... Tony please wake up" I heard a soft voice say "Huh... Grace what's wrong" I asked sitting up "I had a bad dream about my mom" she said crying "It's ok come here" I said opening my arms. Grace laid in them and I played with her hair until I felt her uneven breath even out til she was asleep. I slowly felt my eyes become heavy until everything went blank and I fell asleep.

Time skip to morning

I open my eyes and see Grace still fast asleep... I check the time and it's noon. I'm not going to wake up Grace because I know she didn't sleep well last night so I guess I'll go check on Nick. I slowly got out of bed not caring in putting a shirt on and walked down the hall to Nicks room. His door was cracked so I knocked "Come in" I heard him say quietly I opened the door and walked in "Hey Nick... how are you" I asked "Could be better" he said "Did you sleep" I asked "Yeah I called my dad and we talked" he said "Where's Grace" he asked "Still asleep... she barely slept" I said "She slept with you" he asked "Yeah I knew she didn't want to be alone" I said "Thank you" he said "For what" I asked confused "For keeping Grace company... I'm fine now I talked to my mom this morning and she's ok... and if she's ok then I'm ok but Grace won't be... so I need you to be there for her through this she loves you Tony and as her brother I can tell she has feelings for you" Nick said "Nick I've always loved you sister and I will always be here for her... I've had feelings for your sister since freshman year" I laughed a little "No wonder why you always wanted to hang out" Nick laughed making me laugh "Thanks for checking in on me bro Im ok go to Grace I'm going to go tell the others what's going on" Nick said "Ok bro remember I'm always here" I said and we hugged and I went back to my room where Grace was still asleep. I walked back over to my bed and laid down next to Grace hugging her.

Time skippp

It's been like a hour and grace started to shuffle around until she woke up. "Hey good morning" I said "Hey" she said "I need to call my mom" she said "Ok I'll leave you to talk" I said getting up "No Tony please stay with me" she said grabbing my hand "What ever you want" I said as she grabbed her phone and called her mom.

Graces POV
M- mom G- Grace
*ringggg ringggg ringggg*

M- hello?

G- Mom

M- Hey baby

G- Mom are you ok

M- I'm ok Gracie

G- I want to come home

M- Gracie baby listen to me... you just moved into the hype house what 3 weeks ago... I'm ok its not bad I'm not in any pain stay with your brother and your friends.

G- No mom I want to come see you please let me come see you... I want to come home

M- Gracie come visit me but you need to promise me something

G- yeah anything

M- you will go back to L.A... you can visit but you have a life now in L.A with all your friends... I'll have daddy get you and Nick a plane ticket home for a few days... ok?

G- wait mom

M- what is it baby

G- can Tony come

M-Tony... Lopez

G- yeah

M- absolutely I'm sure his mother would love to see him I'll have daddy buy him a ticket to... call me soon I love you Gracie... dad will text you your ticket info

G- ok mom I love you

M- I love you too Bye Gracie

G- By momma

Tony's POV
Grace hung up the phone and hugged me I hugged her back.
