Throw the words straight at my face,
My heart already felt like a disgrace,
Feeling intertwined like a shoe lace,
Because you're only in this for the chase.
While I'd love to imagine glistening,
Oceans glimmering,
No more whispering,
Just you and me.
I know that there's no way that'll be my life,
I know you'll always bring my heart to strife,
I know your words can cut deep like a knife,
I know that I don't want to be your wife.
But I,
Must lie by your side,
Destructive kryptonite,
Stars shining so bright,
Just reliving a perfect night.
Where the oceans breeze was fine,
When the food was divine,
And the way you made me shine,
Thats why,
I lay by your side.
