CHAPTER ONE
(y/n) Kawajiri! Meets Josuke Higashikata and Okuyasu Nijimura"Please be careful!" Hayato held onto his sister, scared that if he let her go, another arrow will magically appear and shoot her again.
The boy usually wasn't like this. He believes his sister was capable of defending herself, but after the incident, he found himself wanting to always be by her side.
(y/n) chuckled, giving him a thumbs-up. "Yeah, yeah, now go get that education."
Her brother shot her a look of uncertainty before sighing. He hugged her one last time, with (y/n) actually having to pry him off so she could go to school.
She wasn't gonna lie. Now that Hayato wasn't by her side, she felt a little anxious. Not for herself, but for her brother. He wasn't really the best in making friends, she being the only friend he's ever had.
Shaking the thought off her head, she proceeded to enter the school gates. She missed the first week of school, so she probably stuck out like a sunflower in a field of dandelions. Deciding to inspect the school she's going to be spending the next years studying at, she didn't notice someone running at her, full speed.
"Oi Josuke-"
They couldn't finish their sentence as they had ran into (y/n). The voice was gruff and deep, so one could assume they were a male, and this male was pretty muscular. (y/n) yelped as she fell back, her bag sent flying. She shut her eyes, bracing for the ground's impact.
̶B̶̶u̶̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶r̶̶e̶̶f̶̶u̶̶s̶̶e̶̶.̶ But it never came.
Instead, she caught a glimpse of a blue translucent hand emerging from the person who'd ran into her. In a matter of seconds, she was back on her feet, bag in hand as if nothing happened.
"Wha- I could've sworn I was falling..." (y/n)'s hands roamed around her figure to see if she was still in one piece. Luckily, she was.
"Okuyasu, you idiot. The lady almost fell!" Another voice rang. It was a complete contrast to this Okuyasu person.
"Who did? Oh!"
(y/n) turned to see two males. One had pale white skin, sporting ocean blue eyes, and dark purple hair styled into a pompadour. His uniform was... questionable. He wore the usual first year attire, but it was customized to fit his style. His uniform was open, showcasing a bright yellow undershirt, with two golden pins embroidered on the sides and collar.
The other bore raven hair, slightly tan skin, and hazel eyes. Like his friend, his uniform was modified, but his, (y/n) could only assume, was in the theme of money. The most noticeable feature of his were the two scars running across his face.
"Sorry, girl! Wasn't lookin' where I was going." Okuyasu scratched the back of his neck, his eyes scanning (y/n)'s form. "Hey, you're really cute! What class do you go to?"
(y/n) could only raise a brow, surprised at the sudden compliment. "Um..."
"Sorry 'bout him." The other male chimed in, wrapping an arm around his friend. "He's not the brightest."
"Are you alright?" he added.
"How did I not fall?" (y/n) muttered.
The pompadour-haired teen raised a brow. "Oh? Okuyasu caught you."
"No... he didn't."
"I think you're still in shock from what happened. We can take you to the clinic if you'd like."
But in reality, it was true that Okuyasu hadn't caught (y/n). It was his Stand, The Hand, who did. It also took ahold of her belongings, brought them back to her, and put her back on her feet.
The girl remained silent, trying to process what actually happened. The two males watched as she furrowed her brows, confusion written all over her face.
The three stood there awkwardly for a good ten seconds until Okuyasu's friend spoke up. "I'm Josuke, and this guy right here is Okuyasu." He patted his friend on the back. "Your name, miss?"
(y/n) snapped out of her trance. "(y/n) Kawajiri."
"Ooooh, that Kawajiri." Okuyasu rang. "You don't answer when the teacher calls your name when checking attendance. What happened? Were you sick?"
"No... something happened." (y/n) places a hand on her stomach, where the wound was. She could feel the stitches through the thin fabric of her uniform.
Okuyasu notices this, and his hands grabbed onto the sides of his face. "You're pregnant?!"
Josuke face palmed, shaking his head in disbelief. (y/n) flushed red and yelled in her defense, maybe a little too loud, seeing as some students had stopped walking to look at them.
"No, not that! I..." the (h/c)-haired girl sighed. "I got shot."
This caught the two males' attention. "Shot?" Josuke repeated, raising a brow. Meanwhile, Okuyasu's lip quivered. His hands clenched into fists as a look of sadness was plastered on his face. (y/n) heard him mutter underneath his breathe. Something like, 'brother' and 'Keicho'.
Josuke consoled his friend by patting his back before turning back to (y/n), his expression now stern.
"Did you see who shot you? Who were you with? Were you shot with an arrow? A gold one, by any chance?" He questioned, but it sounded like he was demanding for an immediate answer.
Wait... how did he know that she got shot with an arrow? It wasn't a wild guess. He even asked if the arrow was golden.
(y/n) suddenly felt unsafe around the two. She wanted to ask how Josuke knew such specific details, but she found her feet moving on its own.
"Excuse me." She bowed before turning to walk away, leaving the two males dumbfounded. They watched as she blended in with the sea of students.
Josuke recalled their previous conversation, trying to gather as much information as he could. Okuyasu couldn't help much, since he was still recovering from his brother's death.
(y/n) told them that it wasn't Okuyasu who caught her fall. She didn't mention what or who did, but the uncertainty in her voice, plus her being shot (supposedly with the Arrow, but Josuke wasn't certain yet) only lead to one conclusion.
"Kawajiri (y/n) may be a Stand user." Josuke said. "It doesn't look like she knows yet, but we gotta tell Jotaro."
His statement was met with silence, aside from the chattering of students and clicking of heels across the pavement. He turned to his friend, seeing him wearing a pained expression.
"You alright, bro?"
"Can we visit Keicho's grave after school?"
Josuke blinked before grinning, hugging his friend's side. "Of course."
