Unexpected

The Beginning

The light shines in through my window letting me know it's time for me to get this ass up. It takes me a minute to actually climb out of bed everyday. I roll over to look through the small crack in my blinds. I love that the sun is shining. I stretch my body before swinging my legs over the edge of my bed to stand up. I want to play some music, so I begin to search my bed for my phone. My hand moves the blankets, but it isn't their, so I move my pillow to the side and bingo. Walking over to my stereo I plug my phone in, and blast I do by Jessie Reyez. Ahh what will I wear to work today.
I just started this new job a couple of months ago. It's at a popular bar in downtown Detroit called standby. I revel in the feeling of excitement every time I go to pick out a sexy outfit for work. I've never actually had to dress up for work. Standby doesn't require uniforms! Ricky, standbys general manager, encourages everyone to dress how they want, as long as we don't look like we're wearing pajamas. I'm a host at the bar, so I try to dress as Uniquely as possible. I think I'll go with super sexy today since it's Friday. My schedule is always pretty busy. I usually wake up around 10 am, and head out the door to do lyft until I have to head to the bar. I throw my door open and dance my way out into the hall. My roommate has a full body mirror in her living room that is much better than the one attached to my wardrobe. Lolo Zouaï's, moi comes on and I begin to dance very sensually as I try on the scantily clad outfit I plan to wear tonight. I've picked out a tight black skirt that hugs my curves just right. I pair it with a long sleeved black crop top that ties in front, and is a little see through. The sleeves of the top flare out at the end, so when I lift my arm the ends of the sleeves hang low. I throw on my black doc Martin platforms to see if they match the outfit. Voila the perfect outfit! I do a little dance, I can't wait to see everyone's face when I show up wearing this. My mother blessed me with her body, I am very shapely my boobs are in the double D area, and my but looks like two basket balls were sculpted to my back. The real blessing though was my small waste I literally have an hour glass figure, and everywhere I go I can feel the stares I get because of it. My brown skin glows in the sun. I love the way my forest green yarn braids look against my skin. "Okay Kat you need to get a move on beautiful," I say out loud, as I do one more shimmy and head to the bathroom.
After my hot shower I rush to do my make up. I think I'm going to do a dark lip today to match this black vibe I'm feeling. I can feel the excitement from the anticipation of my coworkers reaction bubbling up because I can't help but smile at my finished look. "Hot damn kat, you look good as fuck". My roommate Karyn startles me into reality. I look over to her she's wearing a dress shirt, a black pencil skirt, and some sexy black heels. "Well so do you. What are you doing back so early?"
"I decided to take a half a day off because I wanted to do Lyft from lunch till about 8, and I've got a hot date tonight, so you know a girl has to be fresh. I'm going to the mall later on to buy a new outfit. Why are you all dolled up?"
"I'm feelin my self!" I say as I do a quick 360.
"Well girl I'll see you later. Time to get back to making some money I just wanted to grab some food," and with that karyn heads out the back door. Karyn is the best roommate I've had so far. She's pretty with dark skin, an hour glass body like me, and a chill attitude. Karyn hates drama, and she always says exactly what's on her mind. I love that about her; she is brutally honest. She moved in with me about five months ago, after she who must not be named moved out. My old roommate decided she wanted to study abroad for a semester, and I was more than happy to see her go! I look at my Apple Watch and notice the time. Shit it's 12:30 time to get my day started. I grab my stuff and rush out the front door. Damn I love the summertime mostly because I'm able to wear sexy revealing outfits, but also because the sun feeds all this good melanin. I head to the side walk tilting my head to soak in all the vitamin D I can before jogging to my car. I drive a 2017 white Kia Rio, and it's a stick. This car is the nicest car I've ever owned, and I take pride in my snow bunny. When you work as hard as I have to get out of a bad situation; you always take pride in and enjoy the little things.
