GIRL'S POV

I sat patiently on a park bench, watching grass and tree branches sway in the wind. I pulled out my phone to check the time, only glancing down for a moment, but when I looked up, there he was. He walked towards me with that strange expression he gets when he's proud of himself; something between a smirk and the face of a child who has had too much sugar. I couldn't help smiling at him. As he drew closer, I stood and he motioned for me to close my eyes and hold out my hands. I did so, and curiosity and excitement overtook me as he placed a small something in my palms.

"You'll love this, I know it," he said. I smiled wider. "Okay, open your eyes". I opened my eyes and looked down at my cupped hands, where a heart-shaped pendant on a silver chain lay. I grinned yet again, and was about to thank him as I turned the pendant over in my hand. On the other side there were inscribed words, written in pink. I looked up at him in disbelief.

"So...you like it?", he asked nervously.

I raised an eyebrow at him.
